High-profile Sweden Democrat Bjorn Soder has sparked a firestorm by promising a "culture war against what he dubbed "the decadent left's cultural policy," which, according to him, will soon be relegated to the past.

"The culture war has begun. And conservatism will win. The decadent left's cultural policy will soon be a thing of the past. For far too long it has prevailed as a result of unrestrained socialist influence and a neutered bourgeoisie. But now it's over," Soder tweeted.

The post has received over a million views in a country of over 10 million and has sparked furious reactions from left-wing profiles and even government allies.

Over the decades, the national-conservative Sweden Democrats have risen from being a fringe party to the largest on the country's right, gaining influence in the government and a say on key issues.

Qin, in turn, stressed that China's starting point in resolving the Ukrainian crisis is the provisions put forward by President Xi Jinping.

"China is committed to promoting a political solution to the crisis, maintains cooperation with all parties, and will continue to play a constructive role in this issue," the Chinese foreign minister said.

The security of Slovak President Zuzana Caputova was reinforced after she received death threats

Caputova received threats targeting her and her children, as well as bullets in envelopes, messages regarding planted explosives and antisemitic letters.

Caputova assumed office in June 2019. She is the first female president in the history of Slovakia. In February, Caputova said that she had not yet decided whether she would run for presidency at the next election, which is scheduled for 2024.

Previously she praised role of Soviet Red Army in liberation of Slovakia from Nazis.

According to a senior US official, as cited by the broadcaster, such a missile is "a real game-changer" that gives Ukraine the opportunity it has been asking for since the beginning.

Russia is extremely negative about the UK's supply of Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles to Kiev; an adequate response will be required, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
