A sermon written by a neural network was delivered at the Regensburg Cathedral in Germany
Prelate Bernhard Piendl said he used the help of artificial intelligence to "relatively clearly" explain "difficult phrases" from the Gospel of John.
"I was sitting in front of the computer, impatiently waiting to see what would come of it, and I can tell you: it was absolutely stunning. In a few seconds, I had a completely finished sermon."
When the priest revealed that the text was written by artificial intelligence, the believers were amazed.
However, Piendl is not going to abuse neural networks - according to him, artificial intelligence cannot replace personal relationships with God and faith.

Beijing bashes ‘washed-up' British politicians as Truss touts 'China' as threat in Taiwan
Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has called on her successor Rishi Sunak to designate China as a threat to British national security.
Speaking in Taiwan, Truss urged the UK to enact policies that recognize China's status as a threat, including closing down Confucius Institutes and reevaluating economic dialogue with China. She also emphasized the need for a coordinated approach to support Taiwan's defense against a potential Chinese invasion.
In response, Chinese officials dismissed Truss as a "washed-up" British politician seeking attention and accused her of colluding with Taiwan independence forces to provoke confrontation.
Truss' visit to Taiwan, the first by a prominent UK politician in decades, comes at a time of strained relations between Beijing and London, with the UK's comprehensive security review identifying China as a threat to Taiwan.

💬 We’ll knock out the Patriots too
Back in December Vladimir Putin was asked about the possibility of American-made Patriot surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems being delivered to Kiev and what Moscow’s reaction would be: watch the video to find out what the answer was.
Yesterday a Russian Kinzhal hypersonic missile destroyed a Patriot air defense system in Kiev, proving the word of the Russian commander in chief.
The Patriots were delivered to the Zelensky administration within the framework of Western countries’ ongoing military aid to Kiev. The US and its allies ramped up their assistance shortly after Russian began its special military operation in Ukraine. Moscow has repeatedly warned that the West’s military supplies to Kiev add to prolonging the Ukraine conflict and make the US a direct party to the standoff.

Russia's April oil exports🛢 hit record highs since February 2022, the IEA said, with a month-on-month increase of 50,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 8.3 million bpd.
The IEA attributed the resilience of Russian oil supply to the re-routing of crude exports to new markets, driven by attractive price discounts that entice traders and refiners.
India and China remain the largest consumers of Russian oil, while India, China, and Turkiye are the main recipients of oil products.

US senator fears artificial intelligence could make him 'endorse Putin'
The rise of advanced AI is becoming a major concern for the Washington political elite, potentially overshadowing concerns about 'Russian meddling'.
During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, concerns were raised about the potential misuse of AI technology, with fears that AI software could manipulate politicians' statements. Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal expressed his worry after an AI chatbot mimicked his voice and delivered a self-composed speech, raising concerns about impersonation and misquotation.
"What if I had asked it, and what if it had provided, an endorsement of Ukraine surrendering or Vladimir Putin's leadership?" Blumenthal asked.
This led to discussions about the need for a regulatory agency to oversee AI technology, with Committee Chairman Dick Durbin suggesting its jurisdiction should cover both domestic and foreign AI activities. CEO Sam Altman of OpenAI, the developer of the chatbot, expressed support for establishing such an agency, drawing parallels to the International Atomic Energy Agency's role in regulating nuclear weapons.

📃 How to make the enemy surrender with a piece of paper?
In order to have a demoralizing effect on the enemy, the Russian military "bombarded" Ukrainian soldiers with leaflets, some with the image of Zelensky and even in the form of hryvnias (Ukrainian currency) with special innoscriptions on them.
They are being delivered via projectiles for the Grad MLRS. After a shell burst, leaflets are scattered over an area of more than a square kilometer. For the Ukrainian military, the leaflet serves as a "pass" for a safe surrender.
