❗️ The Kinzhal hypersonic missile destroyed a radiolocation system and five launchers of the American Patriot complex in Kiev on May 16, the Russian Defense Ministry has said

Nutcracker: What we know about Russia's Kinzhal hitting the US Patriot system in Kiev
The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that a US-made MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, positioned in Kiev, Ukraine, was hit by the Russian Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missile.
This strike was part of Russia's ongoing military operation in Ukraine. The Russian supersonic interceptor MiG-31K, equipped with a Kinzhal missile, struck the Patriot system with speed, giving the Patriot crew no time to change position or reload the SAM’s launchers. In an attempt to intercept the Kinzhal, the Patriot system fired all 32 of its missile interceptors, a costly action that ultimately proved unsuccessful.
Contrary to Ukraine's claims of shooting down six Russian Kinzhal missiles, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu stated this was not true. The US is currently assessing the impact of the Kinzhal strike on the Patriot system, which is believed to have been damaged but not destroyed. The Ukrainian Army has two Patriot SAMs, one delivered by the US and the other jointly by Germany and the Netherlands, as part of Western countries' military assistance following the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. Despite the hit, it is thought that the system may not have to be removed from Ukraine and discussions about repair are ongoing.

Hungary agrees with France that Europe needs strategic autonomy to make decisions, in line with its own interests
Hungarian President Katalin Novak wrote on Twitter that he and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron agreed that Europe needs strategic autonomy to be able to make decisions based on its own interests. The presidents had a discussion on the sidelines of the 4th Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik.
In April, Emmanuel Macron stated that Europe must lower its dependency on the US and build up its "strategic autonomy". He added that Europe should avoid being "caught up in crises that are not ours," implying China-US tensions over Taiwan.

Poland not ready to supply F-16 to Ukraine
Poland has handed over all of its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, President Andrzej Duda told reporters on Wednesday.
"We handed over to Ukraine almost all of our MiG-29s, which Ukraine asked us to do," Duda said, adding that Poland is not ready to supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets.
Since Russia started special military operation to protect the people of Donbass over $70 billion in security assistance has been delivered to Kiev. Western countries are supplying sophisticated weaponry, including Leopard and Challenger 2 tanks and ammo for HIMARS. While US is a top supplier of weapons to Kiev regime, Poland also actively participates in proxy conflict against Russia and is in Top-5 list of providers military aid to Ukrainian militants.

Probe reveals causes of water contamination on two US aircraft carriers
US Navy investigators have released reports revealing that poor communication and technical defects led to contaminated drinking water on two American aircraft carriers in September 2022.
One report identified bilge water as the source of jet fuel contamination on the USS Nimitz, resulting in at least 11 crew members experiencing symptoms like diarrhea and skin rashes after ingesting the water. The other report found E. coli in three potable water tanks on the USS Abraham Lincoln, although no related illnesses were confirmed.
Both reports highlighted failures in communication, disregard for warning signs, and a lack of adherence to safety procedures regarding drinking water.

The time of the US dollar as the world's top currency is coming to an end due to Washington's lack of neutrality and concerns over the United States' creditworthiness
"Many friends of America are moving, trying to find something to compete with and ultimately replace the US dollar," renowned American investor Jim Rogers told Sputnik.
"It will happen. It has always happened. And America's time is coming to an end. The American dollar this time is coming to an end."
"No currency has been on top more than 150 years. Nobody has always been on top, so it's always happened," Rogers said. "People have moved away from whatever currency it is."
Rogers pointed out that the countries are now moving away from the US dollar partly because the United States is the largest debtor nation in the history of the world.

American journalist Clayton Morris called the training of tankers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the British “lessons of murder” while hosting his show
In the program Redacted News, he drew attention to a video in which Ukrainians are taught to operate Challenger 2 tanks. In one of the frames, according to him, tank ammunition filled with depleted uranium appears.
"Get close - it's time for a murder lesson," Morris's co-host sneered.
“Let me show you how cancer works, how to destroy your country,” he added.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Britain said that the country sent shells to Kiev, including those with depleted uranium, but does not monitor their use.

New evidence may show Trump was warned Mar-a-Lago docs were not automatically declassified
The US National Archives will provide 16 records to special counsel Jack Smith, revealing that former President Donald Trump and his top advisers were informed about the correct declassification process during his tenure.
The records, obtained through a subpoena last year, are relevant to the grand jury investigation being led by Smith, which is examining whether Trump mishandled classified documents upon leaving the White House in January 2021. Trump claimed that the documents were automatically declassified when he took them from the White House, but the letter from Archivist Debra Steidel Wall disputes this assertion and states that the records may contain significant evidence for the investigation. The documents are scheduled to be handed over on May 24, pending any court orders to the contrary.

US turns blind eye to Ukraine no longer hiding its terrorist activity - Russian embassy
The Russian Embassy in Washington has accused the United States of ignoring Ukraine's terrorist activities. In a statement, the embassy criticized the US State Department for claiming ignorance about the Ukrainian military intelligence's statements regarding Kiev's involvement in the murders and attempts on Russian journalists. The embassy argued that despite American support, Ukraine openly engages in terrorist acts while receiving weapons, intelligence, and financial assistance from the US.
The embassy further condemned the hypocrisy of the US, which is considering designating Russia as a country sponsoring terrorism while Russia fights against extreme manifestations of Nazism. The statement highlighted what the embassy viewed as exceptional hypocrisy on the part of the US.

Sweden Democrats seek to review EU strategy, set stage for 'Swexit'
Sweden Democrat leader Jimmie Akesson and MEP Charlie Weimers have published an opinion piece calling for a reevaluation of Sweden's relationship with the European Union (EU).
The national-conservative party aims to limit further power transfers to the EU and enhance Sweden's influence to achieve more favorable negotiation outcomes. They argue that Sweden's excessive compromises in Brussels have eroded the core of Swedish democracy, and propose measures such as implementing a "referendum lock" law, preparing for a potential "Swexit," and investigating ways to minimize the EU's negative effects.
Although the Sweden Democrats previously advocated for Swexit, they have toned down their anti-EU stance in recent years to foster alliances with center-right allies.
Critics contend that the party has abandoned its principles and shifted positions on various issues.

🤡 Adidas now uses a man as a model for women's swimwear
The swimwear, designed by South African designer Rich Mnisi, is being sold in the women's section of the website, but the model showcasing the products has a hairy chest and a noticeable bulge in the crotch area.
The reviews for the swimsuits on the Adidas website are mostly negative, from "never buying Adidas again" to “this is insulting to women." Some customer noticed that the suit "seems a little baggy in some areas for a woman."
