Russia's Samara Region to launch drone production in December
Production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is expected to begin in December in Russia's Samara Region, potentially creating 1,000 working places, regional governor Dmitry Azarov told Sputnik on Saturday.
"Having announced this project only at the beginning of the year, we expect that the production of drones in the Samara Region will start as early as December this year. This is not some kind of pilot production, not a large-scale assembly, this is real industrial production of drones," Azarov said on the sidelines of #SPIEF2023.
He noted that the cost of the project is over 20 billion rubles ($240 million).

Grotesque model reveals alarming effects of remote work
Experts are warning that remote work may have negative health consequences. A model named Anna, created by Furniture At Work, depicts the potential physical and mental health issues faced by remote employees in the future.
Anna's appearance shows a hunched back, swollen eyes, and claw-like hands, resulting from poor posture, extended screen time, and lack of dedicated workspace.
To maintain a healthier lifestyle while working remotely, experts recommend setting up an ergonomic workspace, taking regular breaks, practicing good eye care, maintaining a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity, and prioritizing mental health. These measures can help mitigate the potential negative effects of remote work on one's well-being.

GOP probe: Biden family received 'up to $30 mln' from foreigners
A recent poll indicates that a majority of potential US voters believe President Joe Biden and his family received foreign payments to influence White House policy.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer has announced efforts to acquire bank records suggesting up to $30 million in illegal payments to the Biden family from foreign nationals. Comer accused them of bribery, influence peddling, and money laundering, anticipating media scrutiny on the source of the funds.
The committee obtained the information through subpoenas issued to four banks, as part of a Republican-led investigation into alleged multi-million-dollar payments by Burisma to Joe and Hunter Biden during the Obama administration, concerning the removal of a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company.
President Biden has consistently denied these allegations.

Mars and Venus to adorn summer solstice evening sky
Stargazers around the world are going to be in for quite a treat next week, with a major occurence illuminating the night sky.
On the day of the solstice, June 2021, two planets closest to our world, Venus and Mars, as well as Earth’s only natural satellite the Moon, are going to be visible after sunset.
According to EarthSky website, all three celestial bodies are going to be visible in close proximity to one another while looking at the sky to the west: the Moon is going to emerge first, followed by Venus and finally Mars as the sky will be getting darker.
The website also points out that, aside from this celestial trio, stars Castor and Pollux in the constellation Gemini will be visible low in the sky to the northwest before they set, while Regulus in constellation Leo is going to be visible higher in the sky to the southeast.
