Russia should be able to protect its people, and Zambia "stands by Russia" on this matter, Akende M'membe Chundama, chairwoman of the Socialist Party of Zambia, told Sputnik Africa.
According to the politician, Russia and Russia’s security interests should be treated the same way as those of Western countries and the US by the rest of the world, outlining that now the West's attitude towards the issue is hypocritical.
🗣 "So the same considerations, the same way they want to be treated by the rest of the world is the same way that the West, the US and we know that NATO, at the core of this, should also treat Russia," Chundama stated. "It's very clear that their hatred for Russia is extremely clear and as the rest of the world, it has opened a lot of people's eyes to say that this is hypocrisy"
