Russians urged to unite in face of Wagner armed mutiny attempt

Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, emphasized the importance of unity under the commander-in-chief and warned against succumbing to the temptation to join the mutiny, as it would jeopardize everything Russia has fought for.

Zakharova acknowledged the challenges and temptations faced by the military but urged them to stand strong, reminding them that the entire country and future generations are watching. She emphasized that succumbing to personal interests would lead to the crumbling of Russia's values and goals.

Zakharova also highlighted the presence of external forces seeking to exploit civil strife within Russia, but assured that the Russians would not allow it.

Elon Musk said that the chances of making it to orbit with a second spacecraft are much higher, but it all depends on stage separation

"Probability much higher than the last one. Maybe it's like 60%. But it depends on how well we do at stage separation," Musk said in Twitter spaces.

SpaceX has made a "tremendous amount of changes" and there have been about a 1,000 of them so far, he added.
One of the biggest changes was the way stage separation works. Musk introduced what he called "hot staging," in which the upper stage lights up while the booster's first stage is still on, and the ship's engines start at the same time. Musk explained that this process was mainly used by the Soviets on their rockets.

On timing, Musk said that launchpad updates and boosters will be ready in about six weeks.

US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley canceled a planned trip to the Middle East because of the "situation in Russia"

The trip would have taken him to Israel and Jordan for talks with military officials there.

Republican House Speaker indicated that he will support efforts to expunge the two impeachments of former President Donald Trump

McCarthy said that he supports the expungements because one impeachment “was not based on true facts” while the other was pushed forward “on the basis of no due process.”

Earlier in the week, McCarthy indicated that he would not support any fast-tracked impeachment calls for President Joe Biden unless they go through the committee process and Biden is given an opportunity to defend himself. He noted that Republicans opposed the Trump impeachment that did not give him that opportunity.

The first impeachment of Trump passed the House of Representatives without a single Republican vote. The second impeachment, which was related to the January 6, 2021 riots and his alleged role in encouraging them, gained the support of ten House Republicans.

Air raid warnings were issued in several regions of Ukraine

Air raid sirens went off in the Ukrainian regions of Sumy, Poltava, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, as well as the Kiev-controlled parts of Zaporozhye region, at around 19:50 GMT on Saturday, the ministry’s online map showed.
