The US is cracking down on anyone expressing an alternative opinion about the special military op in Ukraine, a Russian human rights activist, Alexander Ionov, told Sputnik

Americans today do not have any legal, or appropriate ways to fight the ongoing information battle for common sense on the issue of Ukraine, he contended.

Ionov added that police in the US could knock on the doors of those who express a different viewpoint, put them in handcuffs and cart them off to the police station, and in some cases threaten them with up to 10 years in prison.

Belarus offered to host monks faced with eviction by Ukraine from the historic monastic complex of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

The Belarusian Orthodox Church urged Ukraine to protect the cave monastery from being plundered and its clergy from being evicted after living there for decades.

Access to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra in Kiev will be limited from July 5, and people will be allowed to visit the territory of the Lavra from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the official website of the monastery.

NATO is bound to reaffirm its anti-Russia policy at the upcoming Vilnius summit, Russia's top diplomat says

At the summit in Madrid last year, NATO leaders adopted the 2022 Strategic Concept where Russia is declared "the most significant and direct threat" to security of the alliance and to peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area.

The NATO summit will be held from July 11-12 in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius.

❗️Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine:

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces repelled two attacks near Krasny Liman. Ukrainian losses amounted to more than 90 servicemen;

▪️ Russian troops in the DPR defeated the command post of the 115th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces;

▪️ The Russian Army repelled five attacks in the south of the DPR;

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces inflicted a defeat on three accumulations of manpower near Artemovsk;

▪️ Under Krasny Liman, the activities of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were suppressed;
