🇵🇪 3,000-year-old condor ceramic piece found inside sealed Peruvian temple

Archaeologists in Peru have made an exciting discovery within a sealed corridor in a 3,000-year-old temple complex which is a UNESCO World Heritage site: a roughly 37-pound large ceramic piece adorned with appears to be a condor's head and wings. The ceramic finds were made at the Chavin de Huantar archaeological site - home to the Chavin culture that flourished between 1,500 and 550 BC.

Lead archaeologist and Stanford anthropology professor John Rick described the find as something that has been "frozen in time." The condor holds great significance in ancient Andean cultures, symbolizing power and health as it is associated with the sun deity and believed to be the ruler of the upper world.

Russian scientists devise innovative tumor treatment using nanoparticles

According to a study published in the journal Pharmaceutics, the new approach is based on the use of nanoparticles that deliver an active medical substance, like chemotherapy, directly to the tumor. As they do not release the medicine until they reach the inside of a tumor cell, this prevents the drugs from damaging healthy tissues around the tumor.

According to Timur Nizamov, junior researcher at the Laboratory of Multifunctional Magnetic Nanomaterials, the magnetic properties of such nanoparticles increase the possibility of their direct delivery to the tumor zone by controlling magnetic fields.
In the future, according to Nizamov, the development of such technology will make it possible to create what he referred to as a "high-precision weapon" against malignant tumors, operating on the "fire and forget" principle.

It was alleged that Iran attempted to seize two commercial vessels in the Gulf. However, an informed Iranian defense source dismissed these claims as patently false.

But Iran has indeed seized other foreign tanker vessels in recent months, citing the escalating prevalence of illegal oil smuggling activities, and unsafe maneuvers through Iranian waters.

The first major fight is taking place in Ohio, where Republicans are seeking to raise the voting threshold to 60% in a special election next month. This move could impede Democrats' efforts to establish abortion rights in the state constitution through a potential ballot measure in November.

Florida, South Dakota, and Arizona are also key battlegrounds in the struggle between those seeking to restrict or protect abortion rights. These states are grappling with the aftermath of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade last year.
