Russia's State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) is encouraging African countries to become technologically sovereign, the group's CEO Aleksey Likhachev said. The importance of this sovereignty is underscored by the pressure on Russia.

"We are proposing technological sovereignty projects, which include a whole range of skills, from training specialists to establishing companies on the territory of the African continent, and involving our African partners in the technological networks we are creating in Russia or other friendly countries," he said during a televised interview with Russian media

🇧🇾 Lukashenko says possible polish annexation of western Ukraine unacceptable

💬 “And if the population of western Ukraine needs this, we will, of course, support them. I ask that you discuss and think through this issue. Naturally, I would like you to support us in this regard," Lukashenko said agency during a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

The Belarusian leader added that the plans to admit Ukraine to NATO "in parts" is a disguise to annex territories in western Ukraine.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, as chairman of the BRICS, has sent invitations to the leaders of 70 countries to the unification summit, but neither French President Macron nor the leaders of the United States and Great Britain are among those invited, a South African news portal notes.

Earlier, the French foreign minister confirmed that Macron asked the head of South Africa about the opportunity to take part in the BRICS summit in Johannesburg in August

◾️ Near Krasny Liman, Russian troops repelled six attacks of the Ukrainian forces. Ukrainian losses amounted to 130 servicemen;

◾️In the Donetsk region Russian Forces repelled 14 attacks of Ukrainian troops. Ukrainian losses amounted to 370 servicemen;

◾️ In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian losses amounted to 60 servicemen;

◾️ In the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the Russian Army destroyed seven Leopard tanks. Ukrainian losses amounted to 160 servicemen;

Roscosmos expects international rules of space traffic to be adopted within 5 years

International rules regulating how countries launch orbital satellites and control their movements to avoid incidents on the orbit may be adopted within the next five years, Roscosmos executive director Aleksandr Bloshenko said during a visit to South Africa on Sunday.

Plans by spacefaring nations indicate that by 2030, the number of satellites in the Earth's orbit will exceed 100,000, Bloshenko said. The opinion that "space is big and there's room for everyone" is hardly valid because "overpopulation" of attractive orbits will soon lead to dangerous situations, he added.
