🇷🇺🇪🇬 Transmashholding (TMH), a major Russian manufacturer of locomotives and passenger trains, will supply engines for the nuclear power plant under construction in El Dabaa, Egypt, the company's Chief Executive Officer Kirill Lipa told Sputnik.

Lipa explained that TMH is developing cooperation with Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom in Africa, including as part of a memorandum signed in 2022.

🇷🇺 Last night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using 17 drones targeting areas on the Crimean peninsula was foiled, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Fourteen Ukrainian drones were suppressed by means of electronic warfare, 11 of them plunged into the Black Sea, and 3 more crashed on Crimean soil, while another 3 were taken out by Russia’s air defenses. Thus, there were no casualties from the quashed terror attempt, the ministry said.

🇷🇺 On July 22, traces of explosive materials such as dinitrotoluene and signs of tampering with the structural elements of the vessel were detected in the hold of a foreign cargo ship that was going from Turkiye to Rostov-on-Don, the FSB stated.

It was established that in May, the ship was in the Ukrainian port of Kiliya, in July the crew, consisting of 12 citizens of Ukraine, completely changed in the Turkish port of Tuzla.

These circumstances may indicate the possibility of using a foreign civilian ship to deliver explosives to Ukraine. A decision was made to ban the passage of the foreign vessel through the Kerch Strait, with its further departure outside the territorial sea of Russia.

The Ukrainian troops have deployed foreign-made cluster bombs in a strike on Zolotarevka village near the Lugansk People's Republic, a source from the LPR's security forces told Sputnik on Sunday.

The Russian Investigative Committee said on Sunday that it had opened a criminal case on the shelling of the Zaporozhye region by the Ukrainian troops, which killed Sputnik war correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev and injured several other journalists.

🇯🇵 The Japanese government maintains its position on the need to expand the number of signatories to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) in light of the Russian Defense Ministry's statement on the shelling of Russian journalists by Ukraine, Japanese Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihiko Isozaki said Monday.

"We are aware that on July 22, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement on the shelling that injured four Russian journalists, which was carried out by Ukraine with the use of cluster munitions," Isozaki told a briefing.
