Russia to receive $88.5Bln in revenues from sale of gas, oil in 2023, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Tuesday.

He recalled that the Finance Ministry predicted the total volume of Russia’s oil and gas revenues at the level of 8.9 trillion rubles this year. Out of this sum, 8 trillion rubles will be spent to cover expenses, while the remaining 900 billion rubles are expected to be transferred to the Russian National Wealth Fund.

⚡️ Chinese Parliament announces resignation of Foreign Minister Qin Gang and appoints Wang Yi as the new Foreign Minister

Wang previously held the position of foreign minister until December 2022. Qin Gang has not appeared in public for the past month. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not commented on his whereabouts or health condition.

Western media, meanwhile, have reported on alleged extramarital relations between the minister and a journalist from a Chinese television channel, which could have been a catalyst for his disappearance from the public arena.

Hydrogen peroxide found on poles of Jupiter's Ganymede

A team of scientists has, through an analysis of data previously collected by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), discovered a notable 3.5-micrometer absorption band that indicates the presence of hydrogen peroxide in the northern regions of Ganymede, Jupiter's largest moon.

The team highlights that their discoveries contribute aimed at comprehending how Ganymede's magnetic field influences its surface chemistry. The identification and distribution of hydrogen peroxide on Ganymede provide valuable insights into the moon's composition and the intricate interplay between its magnetic field and surface processes.

The study was published in the journal Science Advances.
