Republicans in the House of Representatives are demanding that the Biden administration name those responsible for the drone strike on Kabul on August 29, which killed peaceful Afghans.

❗️🚑An Illinois resident has died of rabies after apparently being bitten by a bat — the first human case of rabies in the state since 1954.
According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, the man, who was in his 80s, woke up when he was bitten by a bat, which subsequently tested positive for rabies. The man was advised to consult a specialist, but he refused. Within a month, he began to feel symptoms of rabies, and later died from the illness.
"Rabies infections in people are rare in the United States; however, once symptoms begin, rabies is almost always fatal," said Lake County Health Department Executive Director Mark Pfister in a statement.

On Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that the government would probably run out of cash by 18 October if the borrowing limit was not raised soon:
“It would be disastrous for the American economy, [the] global financial market and millions of families and workers whose financial security would be jeopardised by a delay in payments. Even coming very close to the deadline without raising the debt ceiling can undermine the confidence of financial markets in the creditworthiness of the United States.”
