“The Europeans are also stuck with the US in terms of being the hegemon and in that process, Europe is de-industrialized and actually being colonized by the US. And so the US wants to be hegemon, not just over the majority of the world, the Global South, as it's called, but also of Europe as well,” Linwood Tauheed, associate professor of economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, told Sputnik.

According to the President of France, Paris' strategy in the Indo-Pacific region is based on diplomatic and military engagement.

"An additional 200 military personnel will be sent and 150 million euros [$163 million] will be allocated for our army here," Macron said during his visit to Vanuatu as part of a regional tour.

💱The BRICS’ New Development Bank (NDB) intends to facilitate use of national currencies in transactions, NDB President Dilma Vana Rousseff stated at a plenary session of the Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg, adding that this move is one of the bank's main priorities.

"The use of sanctions for political purposes or attempts to extend the jurisdiction of a country outside its territory does not solve a single problem, but rather exacerbates the existing ones," the bank president stressed.

Ukraine Loses 20% of Western-Donated Equipment in Counteroffensive - Reports

Pressured to launch an attack against fortified Russian positions, Ukrainian forces have lost huge amounts of equipment given to them by NATO for the operation, with little to show for it.

According to reports in Western media citing Ukrainian and Western officials, the Kiev regime's forces have lost roughly one-fifth of their Western equipment over the last two months, including huge numbers of armored vehicles, as well as using up much of the stockpiles of ammo it has been given.
