Key statements made by Russia's President Vladimir Putin at the plenary session on the second day of the Russia-Africa Summit:

▪️Russia respects Africa's plans to resolve the conflict in Ukraine;

▪️The African continent is becoming a center of power, and this objective reality will have to be reckoned with;

▪️Russia and Africa share a close bond;

▪️Russia will continue training the military personnel and policemen of African countries in its specialized universities;

▪️The authority of African regional structures, primarily the African Union, as a spokesman for the views and aspirations of the entire macro-region has noticeably increased;

▪️The situation in many African countries is unstable, this is a legacy of colonialism;

▪️Russia shares the aspiration of African countries to take a more active part in the UN.

Russia wrote off $23 billion in debt to African countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said

The Ukrainian Armed Forces three times shelled the town of Tokmak in Zaporozhye with cluster munitions, killing a civilian woman

The Russian MoD’s latest statements on the Ukraine crisis:

▪️ The enemy continued attempts to break through the defence of Russian troops using armoured and other heavy vehicles in southern Donetsk. The enemy losses included up to 180 Ukrainian servicemen, 5 tanks (including 3 German-manufactured Leopard and 2 French-manufactured AMX wheeled tanks), 17 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 1 US-manufactured M777 artillery system, and 1 Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system.

▪️ Four attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been repelled near Krasny Liman. The enemy losses were up to 90 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles, 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system and 1 D-30 howitzer.

▪️ In the DPR the enemy losses were up to 260 Ukrainian servicemen, 5 infantry fighting vehicles, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 2 pickup trucks, 8 motor vehicles, 1 US-manufactured M777 artillery system, 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and 1 D-20 howitzer.

▪️ The enemy losses were up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 2 motor vehicles, 1 D-30 howitzer, as well as 2 US-manufactured AN/TPQ-50 and AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar stations: near Kupyansk.

▪️ The enemy losses were up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen and 2 motor vehicles near Kherson.

▪️ The Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of Russia have neutralized 117 Ukrainian artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 133 areas.

▪️ Russia’s air defense facilities have shot down two projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.

▪️ Some 457 airplanes, 244 helicopters, 5,308 unmanned aerial vehicles, 427 air defense missile systems, 11,010 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,140 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,646 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,939 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

⚡️Explosion in Taganrog, Russia leaves 15 injured

The Kiev regime has carried out a terrorist attack using an S-200 missile converted into a strike version on a residential infrastructure of the city of Taganrog.

The airborne Ukrainian missile was pinpointed and intercepted by Russia's air defense systems. Fragments of the downed rocket fell on the territory of Taganrog, Russian MoD said.

❗️ Another missile was downed by the air defense systems in the Rostov Region’s Azov district, and a probe of the incident’s aftermath is in progress, the governor said.
