🇧🇫🇳🇪 Burkina Faso ready to back Niger if ECOWAS launches intervention, Defense Minister says

The country is ready to withdraw from ECOWAS because it considers the association's policy towards Niger illogical, Burkinabe Defense Minister Kassoum Coulibaly told Sputnik.

💬 "We have no right to fight each other. We are part of a single economic union. The very idea that some states of the association want to wage an internecine war is shocking. It is also shocking that some heads of state want to wage war against other countries under the guise of democracy," Coulibaly said.

🇷🇺 West’s slogans change, but goal of bending world to its will remain unchanged, Lavrov says

💬 “The West has people leading it today such as Josep Borrell which divide the world into their ‘flowering garden’ and the ‘jungle,’ where, in their view, most of humanity resides. With such a racist worldview (and I’m not afraid to use this word), it is of course difficult to come to terms with the arrival of multipolarity ... First and foremost, they are afraid of the prospect of losing the opportunity to live parasitically off the rest of the world, ensuring faster economic growth for themselves at the expense of the rest of the world,” the Russian top diplomat said.

☣️ US seeks 'license' to encircle Russia, China, with 'offensive strategic bio-labs'

The new Pentagon report claiming that America is facing “expanding biological threats” from its foreign adversaries is no more than an attempt "to seek license" for the US to continue developing offensive strategic bio-labs in countries that surround Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, Scott Bennett, a former State Department counterterrorism analyst, told Sputnik.

💬 "These labs will be used to develop bio weapons that target specific DNA and genetic vulnerabilities of people of Slavic, Asian, and Persian-Hindu descent. Of course the external cover explanation for the purpose of these labs will be as 'defensive' or 'proactive' countermeasures against the bio weapon development of other nations the American government defines as 'uncooperative', or 'unyielding', or 'hostile' to being an American vassal or slave state," Bennett said.

🗣️ On the US exploiting the world through the dollar:

“You see, the world is not aware of it, but they financed all of America's wars in the Middle East. They're financing America's war in Ukraine against the Russians. That's what it means to have a reserve currency. The reserve currency country is financed by everyone else…You have to understand the reserve currency country. This means it can exploit the rest of the world,” Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, economist and former Reagan administration official, told Sputnik.

🇷🇺🛰 Russian Luna-25 probe's exciting first observations

▪️Technicians calibrated the ARIES-L spectrometer, which is used for reading and measuring ions and neutral particles of the lunar exosphere. It will also be used to study solar winds and the composition of the regolith.

▪️The PML instrument, meant to study the parameters of lunar dust particles, picked up an exciting development: a meteor crashing into the Moon. The meteor is thought to be from the Perseid meteor stream, which the station itself previously dodged successfully.

▪️Russian scientists have also processed the footage taken on August 17 by the cameras of the STS-L landing system. Both images show the unique Zeeman crater on the far side of the Moon, showing the bottom of the crater dotted with smaller craters, which form after meteorite impacts.

🇷🇺 Russian strike hits gathering of Ukrainian military experts in Chernigov disguised as civil meeting

The strike targeted Ukraine’s "Angry Birds" (Люті пташки) festival, where attendees were specifically instructed to refrain from wearing military uniform, a source who got hold of a copy of an invitation to the festival told Sputnik.

🗒 "We urge you to come to the event in civilian clothes. If possible, change out of a military uniform to avoid identifying the event as being involved in the military sphere," the invitation reads.

It also says that the event is closed, as the premises contains information sensitive to the country's defense capability, i.e. development prototypes, and that most of the participants are active military personnel. Therefore, participants can be filmed or photographed only with their prior verbal consent, the invitation says.
