🗣Former US intelligence officer and whistleblower Edward Snowden who leaked classified information on digital surveillance programs, says offshore companies still compile secret databases, despite leaks such as the Pandora Papers.

"The humorous side of this very serious story is that even after two apocalyptic offshore finance/law firm leaks, those industries are still compiling vast databases of ruin, and still secure them with a Post-It Note marked ‘do not leak,’" Snowden said on Twitter on Saturday. "Hats off to the source!"
👀 "Worse than anything I'd seen before" : The Facebook whistleblower reveals identity, says the company is misleading the public on its progress against hate speech, violence and misinformation.

A former Facebook employee, Frances Haugen, revealed herself as the whistleblower who filed complaints with federal law enforcement, claiming that Facebook's own research shows that it amplifies hate, misinformation and political unrest, but that the company hides what it knows.

🗣"The thing I saw at Facebook over and over again was there were conflicts of interest between what was good for the public and what was good for Facebook. And Facebook, over and over again, chose to optimize for its own interests, like making more money," she said, explaining why she went public with the information.

She worked previously for companies including Google and Pinterest, and claims that Facebook was substantially worse than anything she'd seen in the past.

🤔 Someone put a laundry basket with a sign "Dirty Laundrie come clean" at a memorial for Gabby Petito in Florida – just outside Brian Laundrie's home.

A bottle of bleach, a detergent, and an energy drink are also there.

The energy drink can is an apparent reference to Dog the Bounty Hunter's search operation: last week he came across a can of Monster Energy Ultra Gold during his hunt for Brian Laundrie.
