Biden impeachment vote could take place in the middle of September, according to a US lawmaker
Earlier in the week, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said a majority of House members support investigating Biden in order to move forward with impeachment proceedings.
🗣 "I think the House will vote in September. And this is all up to [House Speaker] Kevin McCarthy ... but he and I have had several conversations ... I would predict that in the middle of September, we have a vote. I would predict that it passes," Cormer said in an interview with the news broadcaster.
US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said that the information gathered by the Republican Party allows the question of Biden's impeachment to be raised. He said that the family of the US president was involved in a "culture of corruption".

🗣️ On what Russian defensive lines are truly designed for:
“I think there's a misperception of what the first line of defense is for Russia, because here we are in September, which means now that for three months the Ukrainians have been beating their heads against what? Not the first line of defense, but the forward defensive zone, that is the defensive zone designed to receive an enemy attack… Even if they are successful in breaching the first line of defense, and there's no evidence that they have, there's nothing left. They will burn themselves out before the second line of defense,” Scott Ritter, former US Marine intel officer and UN weapons inspector, told Sputnik.

Russia marks 80th anniversary of Donbass’ liberation from Nazi occupation
🇷🇺 On this occasion, Vladimir Putin congratulated the residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic and all citizens of Russia.
💭"The example set by the Red Army soldiers who fought in the Great Patriotic War has been carried on by the #Donbass militia guardsmen, who amplified that courage in the ongoing, new battle with Nazism, which began 9 years ago," the president noted.

🇯🇵 Some 150 Japanese residents file lawsuit to halt Fukushima water release, reports say
The lawsuit, filed with the Fukushima District Court against the Japanese government and the plant's operator, Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO), claims that the release of treated water undermines citizens' right to live safely and threatens the operation of local fisheries, a Japanese news agency reported.
The suit claims that the provisions of the 2015 document have been violated, and that the government and TEPCO are obligated to solve the problem of radioactive water accumulation at the plant in another way that does not have a significant negative impact on the environment. The plaintiffs also seek to revoke the approval granted by Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority in May and July of this year to proceed with the water discharge plan.

Scott Ritter: Ukrainian counteroffensive’s last, desperate push
Recent Ukrainian attacks in against the villages of Rabotino and Verbovoe will only lead to further attrition of Kiev’s forces, Scott Ritter, former US Marine Corps intelligence officer and UN weapons inspector, told Sputnik's New Rules podcast.
Ukraine is gaining ground in its counteroffensive started in June, claimed NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Thursday, addressing lawmakers at the European Parliament. Does that mean Ukraine has finally achieved a breakthrough after nearly four months and heavy casualties?
🗣"To answer that question, we have to know what the goals and objectives of the current phase of the Ukrainian counteroffensive are," Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer, told Sputnik.

#SputnikInfographic 📊 How Russian grain exports changed
Despite Western sanctions, Russian grain exports have been growing. Over the year, Russia has increased the amount of grain supplied to other countries, reaching the 60 mln tons point, according to the data published by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
While the West goes insane declaring a global food crisis while simultaneously imposing unlawful sanctions on one of the main global food exporters, Russia has been enhancing bilateral ties with nations across the globe, developing new trade routes, and working for mutual benefit.

Russia has information on plans to blow up Black Sea gas pipelines
🗣 "Ships patrolling routes of the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines, have been under attack... [Russian forces] started patrolling these parts of the Black Sea because we have information that there are plans to blow up the pipelines as Nord Stream has been blown up," Lavrov said at an event in the Russian embassy in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka.
The minister also addressed the demands for Russia to allow grain exports via the Black Sea, saying that the country would not allow transit through the humanitarian corridors which are being used to carry out attacks on Russian ships, both military and civilian.

🗣️ On the level of corruption in the US:
“What about US corruption? I mean, you see a Congress that frankly is incredibly corrupt. The Congress people are lining their own pockets a lot of times from the defense industry that they're funding through these wars... We've spent, I think the latest calculation I saw, something like $8 trillion on war since 2000. $8 trillion, can you imagine the human needs that could have been satisfied with that money?“ labor attorney, human rights activist and author Daniel Kovalik told Sputnik.
