The International Energy Agency (IEA) said that it expects the global oil demand to reach 101.8 million barrels per day
World oil demand remains on track to grow by 2.2 mb/d in 2023 to 101.8 mb/d, led by resurgent Chinese consumption, jet fuel and petrochemical feedstocks, the IEA’s report said.
The forecast remains the same as in the previous report.
The IEA also said in the report that Russia decreased its oil exports in August by 150,000 barrels per day to 7.2 million barrels per day, but it received the largest revenue since October 2022.

🇬🇧 UK economy summer shrinkage blamed on bad weather and strike wave
The British economy has been strongly affected by the backlash of imposing sanctions on Russia due to its military intervention in Ukraine. The repercussions include a surge in inflation, causing prices of essential items, particularly food and fuel, to skyrocket. This has subsequently triggered a wave of strikes across the nation.
The British economy shrank this summer — with statisticians blaming the downturn on strikes and rainy weather.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the economy unexpectedly contracted by 0.5 per cent in July, defying predictions of very slight growth to keep the UK out of technical recession. That reversed a half-percent rise in gross domestic product (GDP) in June.

“Sanctions damage Europe but do not cause a deep, prolonged crisis for either Russia or China. Quite the contrary. It hurts the world that we consciously divide into blocs like this, but it is not as if the whole world is ganging up on one or two countries. The more energetic and dynamic part of the world, the faster-growing part of the world quantitatively, is not on the US-European side of the story,” Jeffrey Sachs, a Columbia University economist, told the New Rules podcast, commenting on the boomerang effect of the West's anti-Russian sanctions.

📹 Footage of Krasukha-S4 electronic warfare system crew in action
The Krasukha-S4 electronic warfare system allows them to detect all types of aerial targets, including those traveling at extremely low altitudes. Affecting the onboard equipment of an air object, the hardware and software of the system dazzles it and forces it to gain altitude, becoming vulnerable to the air defenses of the Russian military.

🇲🇽 Mexican UFOlogist Jaime Maussan, after demonstrating the “remains of aliens,” said that the National Autonomous University of Mexico analyzed them and replied that they were not found after the reported UFO crash, and that they were found with diatoms and were later fossilized.
He added that following the comparisons made to other DNA samples, it was found that over 30% of the specimens’ DNA was “unknown".
The two alleged 'alien corpses' were revealed during a public hearing of the Mexico Congress, soon after several videos showing 'UFOs and unidentified anomalous phenomena' popped up.

🗣️ On Kim Jung Un’s visit to Russia:
“This meeting is basically going to focus on building upon the economic and bilateral cooperation between North Korea and the Far East and Russia... And this is crucial because, as we know, Russia has been sanctioned, but so is North Korea. And Russia, until this moment, hasn't really said much about these sanctions that have been placed on North Korea. It has been just observing them and basically abiding by them. But I think that will be, that will change because this is an economic area that is not only in need of this sort of new revitalization, but it is the right moment right now,” Fiorella Isabel, journalist, told Sputnik.

Brits outraged by disturbing noises from Ukrainian training grounds, reports say
Lydd residents living in the vicinity of the Lydd Ranges polygon submitted “numerous letters” to the town council demanding that action be taken. They complained about the strong noise coming from practice shootings and explosions. Upon being notified of the complaints, the Ministry of Defense agreed to limit the noise and cut exercises by a third.
Alan Smart, 63, who lives next to the firing range, called for shutting down the military base altogether. “I suggest closing it. The explosions are really noisy... I hate living here”, said the British man, who complained that his house is vibrating, and that his window panes are rattling due to the exercises taking place on the base.

🗣️ On the US’ possible supply of long-range missiles to Ukraine:
“We've had no official statements from the administration, but apparently dozens of people from within the administration have leaked that Biden is just about to approve it. It seems like there's this pressure both from within the administration, between those who support this and in the media, which I have to say is driving it like 'Why won't you give these missiles to Ukraine? What's wrong with you?' I mean, that's literally the tone that the Western media has presented it,” Mark Sleboda, international affairs and security analyst, told Sputnik.

🗣️ On Russia’s pivot to the east:
“What people need to understand here is that Russia is not looking to the West anymore. They don't need the West… Russia is looking to the east, they're looking to the Global South, that the West has pretty much lost every attempt to try to from Russia, where Russia has tried to cooperate with the West time and time again. And they realized through these sanctions and through this economic development, in spite of them, that they really don't need them,” Fiorella Isabel, journalist, told Sputnik.
