According to the POW, in most instances that he is familiar with, the crew of a Marder IFV was unable to deal with a malfunction by themselves and had to call in a team of “specially trained people” who handled the repairs.

🇷🇺 Russia is refilling its ammunition stockpiles faster than expected, causing concern not only in Ukraine, but also in Western countries, Canadian Chief of the Defense Staff Gen. Wayne Eyre said.

"If we look at Russia's capacity to reconstitute its ammunition stockpiles, it's happening faster than expected," Eyre was quoted as saying by the local news agency.

Canada does not produce much ammunition, and if it were to use ammunition at the same pace as Ukraine does, its stockpiles would be depleted within days, he said, while calling the situation very concerning.

Some Ukrainians were forced to beg and smuggle drones and their components to use them on the battlefield due to the reduction in drone supplies by Chinese companies, a US newspaper reported.

"At night we do bombing missions, and during the day we think about how to get new drones… We’re examining every possible way to export drones from China, because whatever one may say, they produce the most there," Oles Maliarevych, an officer in the 92nd Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine, was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

On September 1, the Chinese government imposed export controls on some drones and drone-related equipment.

🌌 Scientists have confirmed that the supermassive black hole at the center of Messier 87 (M87) is indeed spinning, marking a monumental discovery achieved through a comprehensive analysis of over two decades' worth of observations. This revelation adds a new dimension to our understanding of one of the universe's most enigmatic entities.

By carefully examining 170 observations collected between 2000 and 2022 using a global network of over 20 telescopes, scientists focused on the spectacular jet emanating from the black hole, which spans an incredible 4,900 light-years. They observed that the black hole in M87 gradually changed the angle of its jet by about 10 degrees before returning to its original orientation in a cycle that takes approximately 11 years to complete.

This variation in the jet's tilt provided conclusive evidence of a spinning black hole, accompanied by the phenomenon of frame-dragging, where the black hole's rotation distorts the surrounding space-time.
