Who do Middle Eastern countries support in Israel-Hamas conflict?

Both Israel and the Gaza Strip have found themselves in the middle of a complex conflict, in which different countries support different sides.

For his part, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has reportedly spoken to several foreign ministers from Arab countries, asking them to condemn the Hamas actions.

The majority of Arab countries, especially the monarchies of Persian Gulf, have close political and financial ties with the US.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday improved its 2023 economic growth forecast for Russia by 0.7 percentage points to 2.2% but downgraded its 2024 projection to 1.1%.

"The forecast for Russia is for a rise from –2.1 percent in 2022 to 2.2 percent in 2023, with an upward revision of 0.7 percentage point for 2023," the IMF said in its World Economic Outlook (WEO) report.

The report attributed the rise in growth to a substantial fiscal stimulus, strong investment, and resilient consumption in the context of a tight labor market.

In 2024, the IMF expects the Russian economy to expand by 1.1%, 0.2 percentage points down from April's forecast.

❗️Key points of the Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine

▪️ The Russian Army repulsed two enemy attacks in the DPR. Enemy losses amounted to up to 165 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, two armored combat vehicles and three motor vehicles.

About 487 planes and 250 helicopters, 7,668 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 anti-aircraft missile systems, 12,448 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,161 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,700 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 13,985 pieces of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
