💬 “Not everyone [in the Gaza Strip] supports Hamas, by the way. Not everyone, but everyone should suffer, including women and children. Well, of course, hardly anyone will agree with this.”

🇷🇺 A story of courage and perseverance: a sapper of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with the call sign "Moisey" was blown up by a mine in the LPR, but after rehabilitation he returned to service.

With persistent daily training, Moisey learned to walk again (and even do burpees) and is now again serving in the ranks of the Don Rescue Center.

As the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Sputnik, the captain, as before, is engaged in demining new regions of Russia: “Who, if not us? If we sit back, civilians will suffer.”

🗣️ Hamas Attack Exposed Israeli Military:

"Of course, there's going to be a read-across, just as the rest of the world have seen NATO humiliated [in Ukraine] and its doctrines exposed as hollow, and even its vaunted technological weapons not performing very well on the field and ending up as burnt out hulks", Alastair Crooke, former British diplomat and MI6 agent, told the New Rules show.

📹 Yossi Eli, investigative reporter for Israeli 13 News Channel, was one of the first journalists who managed to enter the Be’eri kibbutz, located near the Israeli-Gaza border.

He shared his firsthand impressions with Sputnik:

"When you enter the Beeri kibbutz, you enter hell. Dozens of bodies of children, women were there. The terrorists burned bodies, killed children in their beds. As you walk through some houses, you can see beds of children soaked with blood. Evidence of deadly and brutal attack on Jewish people. The cruelty is everywhere: terrorists took off some tires from cars to light them up then so members of the house that are locked inside would start to choke and get outside to kill them. Inside you still can see pictures on the fridge of happy families. Before this place became hell, it was paradise."

The journalist also said that before the Hamas attack on October 7, Be’eri residents used to take care of sick children and elderly people of Gaza.

Earlier, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said the Gaza Strip needs safe corridors for the delivery of food and medicine.

Gaza Strip residents told Sputnik that a delay in international help may turn the strip into a mass grave.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 There is progress in the US-EU negotiations on tariffs on European Union steel and aluminum exports to the United States, but there is still work to be done, European Commission Vice-President and Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis said.

Asked about this month's looming deadline for an agreement on the possible lifting of tariffs, the commissioner said both the US and the EU were working with that timeline in mind.

💬"We are looking for an ambitious agreement which will allow us to address global steel overcapacity, greening of the industry and also put an end to [the tariffs]," Dombrovskis added.

🇺🇸 Biden's military aid for multiple conflicts undermines the US economy

Washington was already juggling the conflicting interests of two of its client states before Israel declared war on Gaza. Dr Linwood Tauheed, associate professor of economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, said the strain could break the US economy.

US President Joe Biden's administration was already deeply invested in the proxy conflict with Russia in Ukraine — and building up for war with China over Taiwan — when the Palestinian Hamas movement and other groups launched their break-out from the besieged Gaza Strip into southern Israel. Washington has already sent one aircraft carrier to the Mediterranean to deter intervention by Iran, which it has blamed for the crisis.

🇵🇸🇮🇱As US and UK send armed forces to Israel, who else is escalating the conflict?

Israel has compared Saturday's breakout from the besieged Gaza Strip by Hamas and other groups, which has left 1,300 civilians and soldiers dead, to the Nazi genocide of millions of Jews and others. Western allies have pledged full backing for Israel's military offensive.

The UK has joined the US in sending naval forces to back Israel following the latest escalation of its conflict in the occupied Palestinian territories — but will other NATO members follow suit?

Biden Says 'Working Like Hell' to Locate Hostages Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict

President Joe Biden said the US would do everything in its power to find 14 missing Americans following the unexpected large-scale attack by Hamas on Israel.

"I say we're gonna do everything in our power to find them. Everything in our power. And I'm not going to go into the detail of that but... We're working like hell to find them" Biden told US media in a clip that aired on Friday.

According to reports, the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas has claimed the lives of 27 American citizens, while 14 Americans remain unaccounted for.

🌍 The Gaza crisis serves as a reflection of the crumbling unipolar rules as the world is embracing multipolarity and seeking new approaches to simmering conflicts.

Neither Israeli nor American intelligence seemed to be aware about the preparations for Hamas' surprise assault on Israel last Saturday.

"The Middle East region is quieter today than it has been in two decades," US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan claimed at the Atlantiс Festival on September 29, suggesting that Washington could now shift its focus on the Ukraine conflict and containing China's rise in the Asia Pacific.
