“Water and electricity have been completely cut off in Gaza. We buy sweet water from the shops that are still open in some areas, but clean drinking water is scarce. There is no electricity. Many people are not even aware that they need to evacuate because the Israelis are not dropping leaflets in all areas. Many Gazans without internet or electricity do not have access to information about where and how to go. Many people simply have nowhere to go. 2.5 million people cannot leave their homes at such short notice, leave their sick and elderly relatives behind, and go in search of a new roof over their heads. Nobody knows what will happen next.”

🇵🇸🇮🇱 Hikmat al Misri, a Gaza resident, describes the dire situation in Gaza's hospitals

“Al-Urduni hospital is about to leave Gaza with all its equipment, even though it is needed here. Beit Hanun and Al-Durra hospitals have stopped working. Al-Audah Hospital was warned the day before to evacuate urgently because it would be bombed. Al-Shifa Central Hospital continues to operate, but it is so overcrowded that the wounded are put on the floor”.

Sputnik asked if humanitarian aid is being brought in.

"We will starve, but we will not be broken," al Misri said.
