🤖 ‘R2D2’ Patrols New York City: NYPD ‘robot dog’ spotted in Manhattan public housing building

For some Manhattan public housing residences, science fiction has become a step closer to reality when on Monday officers from the New York Police Department (NYPD) put on a show with their own version of a four-legged, dog-like machine trotting along inside of a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) building.

In a Twitter video shot outside of a NYCHA building on East 28th street, NYPD officers are shown making an arrest of a suspect who was reported to have locked himself inside an apartment building. What makes this unfortunately common scene a bit more startling is when a Boston Dynamic “Digidog” brings up the rear, shocking onlookers as it descends down the stairs alongside the officers

❗️ An active shooter incident was reported around 11 p.m. local time (3 a.m. on Friday GMT) in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to WRTV. The shooting occurred at FedEx's Indianapolis facility, which is the second-largest hub in the company's global network, employing more than 4,500 people.

#URGENT | Shooting reported at mall in Ann Arbor, Michigan
A single gunshot victim was taken to Michigan Medicine, the University of Michigan hospital. The male victim is reportedly in stable condition.

At this time, police believe the shooting was an isolated incident. No additional victims have been identified.
⛔️ “Your post couldn't be shared, because this link goes against our Community Standards” is a post ban you might run into if you want to share on Facebook a link to an article published by The New York Post (NYP) which detailed the recent million dollar purchases of Black Lives Matter (BLM) co-founder Patrisse Cullors, and called for an investigation into these purchases from other activists.

A Facebook spokesperson has since reached out to several news outlets, stating that the NYP story has been "deleted for violating our privacy and personal information policies."

Meanwhile the BLM co-founder expressed her opinion regarding this article: "The whole point of these articles and these attacks on me is to discredit me, but also discredit the movement."

🌖 NASA is helping SpaceX prepare to send astronauts to explore more of the Moon. SpaceX will continue to develop the first commercial human lander that will take the next two American astronauts to the lunar surface in 2024.
