As Ukrainian air force sustains heavy losses in recent days, it becomes increasingly apparent that Russian air defense systems, such as the S-400 Triumf, are not to be trifled with.

▪️The S-400 is an advanced Russian mobile surface-to-air missile system that can defend against a variety of airborne threats, including combat aircraft and cruise missiles.

▪️An S-400 can simultaneously track and engage multiple targets, including those flying at altitudes of up to 30 kilometers and at speeds of up to 4,800 meters per second.

▪️S-400 missiles are launched vertically, allowing the air defense system to engage targets coming from any direction without bringing the launchers to bear on them.

Meet Erez Calderon-Dan, a 12-year-old boy, who has spent his entire life with his large family on an Israeli kibbutz called Nir Am.

On October 7, he was kidnapped by Hamas, along with his father Ofer and elder sister, Sahar. His grandma Carmela and cousin Noya were murdered in cold blood by Hamas that ominous morning.

“It turned out that an elderly woman that needed anti-dementia as well as heart treatment and [a] girl with autism were brutally murdered. Ofer, Sahar and Erez are kidnapped. We are grieving and at the same time struggling to return the abductees home,” said Noam Calderon-Dan, Erez's uncle and father of Noya, who was murdered.

He also pointed out that all their family is "grieving and at the same time struggling to return the abductees home".

Russia's airborne and special forces units successfully halted an advancing Ukrainian column, which was carrying military equipment, in the area of Zaporozhye.

"Reconnaissance units of the Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) used aerial surveillance to spot a Ukrainian military column, made up of two tanks and an armored vehicle, advancing towards our positions in the village of Verbovoye, in Zaporozhye. The units then promptly transmitted data marking the location of the enemy over to the special forces. The special troops struck one of the tanks with a well-aimed anti-tank guided missile (ATGM)," the Ministry's report said.

The battle involved UAV units of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Mountain Forces and Special Forces troops, equipped with an anti-tank missile system.

▪️Tu-95MS long-range aviation aircraft, which were involved in the training, unleashed air-launched missiles;

▪️In order to improve the abilities of the strategic deterrence forces, an assessment was conducted to measure the level of training among military command and control bodies, leadership skills, and operational personnel in organizing the control of subordinate troops;

▪️The tasks set out during the training were completed in full.

🇺🇸 The United States is "navigating" an overlap between the defense demands of Ukraine's and Israel’s respective conflicts, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Development and International Engagement Justin McFarlin said on Wednesday.

"I think the good news is that there isn’t a 100% overlap between the kind of requirements of those two conflicts," McFarlin stated at the ComDef conference in Virginia. "There is some and we're navigating that."

According to McFarlin, the other good piece of news is that Israel has a very robust industrial base and production capabilities.

Despite its production capacity challenges, McFarlin concluded that the United States "did not have an option" to support one conflict and not the other.
