Patients from the Shifa hospital in northern Gaza will be transported to hospitals located in the southern part of the enclave within the next 24-72 hours, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Sunday.

"Over the next 24–72 hours, pending guarantees of safe passage by parties to the conflict, additional missions are being arranged to urgently transport patients from Al-Shifa to Nasser Medical Complex and European Gaza Hospital in the south of Gaza," the WHO said on X.

However, these hospitals are already overburdened and operating at full capacity, and new patients from Shifa Hospital will place even greater strain on medical staff and resources, the organization added.

🇫🇷 France has conducted a successful test-launch of a strategic ballistic missile without nuclear warhead, the French Defense Ministry has announced.

The missile landed in the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean a few hundred kilometers off the coast, the statement read.

The statement added that the test-launch had been carried out with strict observance of France's international obligations.

The IDF claims to have carried out an operation at a Hamas military base belonging to the organization’s military intelligence unit. The IDF purportedly located ammunition depots and seven rocket launchers.

"IDF soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade, together with the Armored Corps, Engineering Corps and the Israeli Air Force, operated in the Sheikh Ijlin and Rimal areas in order to identify and destroy Hamas infrastructure and assets. During the operations, the soldiers located approximately 35 tunnel shafts as well as a large number of weapons and eliminated terrorists," the statement said.

🇷🇺 Russia’s Lancet drones viewed as ‘scourge on the battlefield’ for Ukraine

A sophisticated version of Russia’s Lancet kamikaze drone – also referred to as loitering munition – is becoming an increasing threat to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a US media outlet has reported after analyzing a video released by the Russian Armed Forces.

It appears that the newer Lancet's warheads blow up in the air before firing explosively formed penetrators, such as slugs of molten metal, toward the target, something that helps the Russian unmanned aerial vehicle to evade Ukrainian defenses, according to the outlet.

The drones are used in the Russian special operation zone to target various Ukrainian military assets, including howitzers, armored vehicles, and multiple launch rocket systems, as well as command and observation posts and troops.

The ship captured by the Houthis near Yemen is not Israeli and there are no Israelis among its crew, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said

🇮🇱 Three of Israel's seven reconnaissance aerostats, which could have warned the Israeli authorities of Hamas' October 7 attack, were inoperable that day because of the government's alleged failure to upgrade and maintain the equipment, Daily Mail reported, citing security sources.

The inoperable spy balloons made Israel's defense line along the Gaza border vulnerable. The failure to operate the aerostats may be attributed to insufficient funding.

The aerostats, equipped with a payload of cameras, sensors and spyware, have long been a key part of Israel's early warning system, and had they functioned properly, the outcome of the Hamas attack might have been different, the newspaper reported.
