🇵🇸 A dive into war-torn Palestine's economy
What does Palestine export?
Top exports of Palestine include stone and construction materials (13.3%), furniture (11.7%), plastics (10.1%), as well as iron and steel (9.13%), with Israel being its largest customer.
🇮🇱 Israel - 86% share of all Palestinian exports
🇯🇴 Jordan - 5.12%
🇦🇪 The UAE - 1.45%
🇺🇸 The US - 1.13%
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia - around 1%
Still, the two parts of Palestine are developing unevenly: per capita GDP in the West Bank is roughly four times higher than in the Gaza Strip ($4,458 versus $1,257), as per the World Bank. Most foreign aid also goes to the West Bank. Given that up to 50% of all buildings in Gaza have recently been destroyed or damaged by the Israeli military, the small Mideast economy is facing a slide.

What does Palestine import?
Imports of Palestine are roughly three times larger than its exports. The small Mideast economy buys mineral fuels and oils (16.3%), electrical machinery and equipment (6.2%), residues and waste from the food industry (5.8%), and vehicles (4.9%).
🇮🇱 Over half of goods Palestine receives come from Israel.
Other main trade partners:
🇹🇷 Turkiye
🇨🇳 China
🇯🇴 Jordan
🇪🇬 Egypt
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia
🇺🇸 The US
🇮🇹 Italy
🇩🇪 Germany
🇨🇭 Switzerland
Apart from these goods, Palestinians import 86% of electricity from Israel, Jordan, and Egypt (generating the remaining 14% locally). It is expected that the completion of the Jenin Power Plant in the West Bank may fill Palestine's energy gap; however, the ongoing Gaza war may impede the project.

🇵🇸 Scott Ritter: Hamas winning battle for Gaza
The recently announced ceasefire is a blessing for Palestinians and Israelis alike—a chance for prisoners to be exchanged, humanitarian aid to be distributed to those in need, and for emotions on both sides of the conflict to cool down.
While the ceasefire, negotiated between Israel and Hamas by Qatar, was mutually agreed between the two parties, let no one be fooled into thinking this was anything less than a victory for Hamas. Israel had taken a very aggressive position that, given its stated objective of destroying Hamas as an organization, it would not agree to a ceasefire under any conditions.

🔫🇺🇸 US Gun Ownership Hits Record High
A recent NBC News poll shows a staggering 52% of American voters now have a firearm in their household, a significant leap from 46% in 2019. This is the highest rate since 1999, with both Republican and Democratic homes contributing to the rise.
In light of recent global events, including the attack in Israel and a mass shooting in Maine, gun sales have surged, especially among Jewish Americans. Local gun stores report a dramatic increase in first-time buyers, highlighting a growing concern for personal safety and the exercise of Second Amendment rights.

🇺🇸 Talking Turkey About US Inflation
US media have claimed the average price of the annual Thanksgiving dinner had fallen since 2022, mainly due to lower turkey prices. But economist Dr Linwood Tauheed pointed out to Sputnik that poultry prices spiked last year due to an avian flu outbreak — and that real-terms inflation was higher than the official rate.
“It doesn't mean that the price of turkeys is not high. It just means that it's less this year than than last year," Tauheed said. “Food prices in general are up, as well as rent prices and other prices that ordinary people have to spend their money on.”

🇺🇸📉 Palestinian-Israeli сonflict accelerates US geopolitical decline
President Joe Biden's support for Israel is undermining America's diplomatic standing in the Middle East, with regional players increasingly turning to Russia and China for alternative leadership, Syriana Analysis founder Kevork Almassian told Sputnik's New Rules podcast.
The US is losing its grip amid the Palestine-Israel conflict and alienating Mideast powers by failing to prevent Tel Aviv from bombing Gaza into the Stone Age.
Recently, the Biden administration tried to steal the show by taking the whole credit for the four-day humanitarian pause in the strip. Still, if truth be told, it was Qatar, not the US, who negotiated the truce on the ground.

The attack reportedly happened in the early afternoon near a school in Parnell Square East. A five-year-old girl, a woman in her 30s and a man in his 50s were seriously injured, with the girl receiving emergency medical treatment, according to police. A five-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl suffered lesser injuries.
Police have reportedly made an arrest of a man in his 50s, but have yet to determine a motive.
🗣 "We will not tolerate a small number using an appalling incident to spread division,” said Justice Minister Helen McEntee, as quoted by the Irish Times, and condemned attacks on police.
🗣 "We are all shocked by the incident which has taken place in Parnell Square... Our thoughts and our prayers go out to them and their families," wrote Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar on X.

🇮🇱 Israel running out of foreign friends as Gaza siege goes on
Israel has agreed to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip before achieving its stated aim of destroying the Hamas movement. George Szamuely, a senior research fellow at the Global Policy Institute, said Tel Aviv was wary of losing support among its Western backers.
Israel is alienating its Western allies and could soon be left with just the US support, says a political pundit.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government made a U-turn this week when it agreed to a previously-rejected ceasefire and prisoner exchange proposed by the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas.
Casualties have been mounting both among Palestinian civilians and Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops as they attack the besieged Gaza Strip in retaliation for the October 7 attacks on southern Israel by the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.

🪖 'Soldiers going crazy': Ukraine has no one left to fight because of desertion
The botched counteroffensive has caused the Kiev regime a serious shortage of human resources for mobilization, not to mention growing questions from Kiev's Western allies and donors as to what they are actually providing money and weapons for.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are clearly having trouble replenishing their ranks. People are unwilling to die for the Kiev regime and actively avoid mobilization or desert. Of course, the propaganda claims the opposite.
