'BBC has lost spirit of real journalism'
🗣 “I do agree that the British Broadcasting Corporation is obviously biased towards Palestinian people,” London-based foreign affairs analyst Adriel Kasonta told Sputnik.
For him, saying the BBC is humanizing Israel's casualties in the conflict is “very obvious.”
Kasonta was echoed by Lebanese reporter and journalist Hussein Izzedin, who slammed the UK broadcaster as “yellow press” that “has lost the spirit of real journalism due to its biased approach to events taking place in Palestine and beyond.”
🗣 “What the BBC is doing now will leave a new black mark on its longstanding history of intransigence and complete lack of objectivity, as if they were a party to this [Palestine-Israel] conflict,” Izzedin stressed in an interview with Sputnik.
Earlier, a group of BBC journalists accused the broadcaster of bias and double standards in covering the escalation of the conflict, which has been underway since October 7.

"That's exactly what they do with Russia"
Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has commented on the video showing PM Rishi Sunak hitting a nail not with the head of the hammer, but with the side.
🗣 "Exactly today, at the time of the publication of this manipulative post by Labour, Rishi Sunak became Rashi Sunak, from the word Russia. This is exactly what they do in the West with Russia, when they take certain fragments of videos, audio recordings, pieces of quotes taken out of context, talk about only some part of our steps, and present all this with the opposite of the original meaning," Zakharova said.
Earlier the Labour Party published a video in which Sunak hits a nail not with the head of the hammer, but with the side. They captioned it: “Not the son of a toolmaker. Man who hammers working people can't work a hammer.” In the full version, you can hear the teacher specifically telling Sunak to use the side of the tool.

Gazprom's ‘Power of Siberia’ gas pipeline hits historic record
“On November 23, the Chinese side submitted an application for Russian gas via the ‘Power of Siberia’ pipeline, which exceeded our daily contractual obligations once again. Gazprom has exported the requested volumes in their entirety and has set a new all-time record of daily gas deliveries to China,” the company announced in its social media.
The supplies are being carried out as part of a bilateral long-term gas purchase-sale agreement between Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). 2023 alone has already seen Gazprom overperforming its contractual liabilities several times.
Last year, Gazprom exported 15.4 billion cubic meters through ‘Power of Siberia’. In 2023 the company expects to reach 22 billion. By 2025, the investment project aims to increase the supply volume up to 38 billion cubic meters on an annual basis.

Could Ukraine conflict have ended in a month?
🗣 "I think it is clear that the US and UK both wanted Ukraine to leave the negotiating table and continue to fight over the Donbass. Boris Johnson’s persuasion was key to the abandonment of the 2022 peace process. (…) Johnson is an excellent public scapegoat for both the UK and the US. I expect he won’t be the only one, as rogue military officer and others in Ukraine will also be blamed for giving 'bad' advice to Zelensky," retired US Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, a former analyst for the US Department of Defense, told Sputnik.

🇬🇧 The BBC has "failed to report accurately" on the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza - "through omission and lack of critical engagement with Israel's claims," a group of eight BBC journalists from the UK claimed.
Because the BBC is essentially an "organ of the British government" and represents "Anglo-Saxon geopolitical and financial interests," the media outlet "is bound to be aligned at some level with Israeli positions," argued Come Carpentier de Gourdon, the convenor of the editorial board of World Affairs magazine.

“Therefore, I think it is inevitable that any major Western government-connected, or at least the mainstream media, to be in some way affirming that Israel, as the saying goes, has the right to defend itself and therefore has to do what it can to defeat its enemies when they attacked the state of Israel,” Gourdon remarked. “That is the situation and the position and the whole West is basically aligned on that.”
