"Ukraine's high burn rate for artillery has hammered home the need to invest even more in munitions. So compared to the defense budget from just five years ago, we're putting nearly 50 percent more money into munitions," Lloyd Austin, US Defense Secretary, said.

He also noted that the production of artillery shells in the US will quadruple during the Biden administration.

The Pentagon chief also stated that the US will continue to support Ukraine amid ongoing hostilities in the Middle East, adding that the outcome of the Ukrainian crisis will define global security for decades to come and the United States has no option to "sit it out."

At the same time, the Pentagon still refuses to provide data on the level of support for Israel.

Republican lawmakers have enough votes to launch a formal impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, House Speaker Mike Johnson told a US news network.

He stressed that Republicans "have an obligation to do this" and that they "cannot stop the process.

Johnson called the Biden impeachment inquiry a "necessary step" and vowed that GOP lawmakers would not use the probe as a partisan tool against the Democratic Party.

Europe and the United States will face problems if the West stops supporting Ukraine, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Viktor Nazarov said in an interview with CNN.
