🇭🇺 Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that he discussed with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez the topic of Ukraine's admission to the European Union.

"I had a frank phone conversation today with Prime Minister @sanchezcastejon. My message was clear: we should refrain from discussing the issue of Ukraine’s EU accession during the December #EUCO, as there is no unity among member states on this matter," Orban wrote on X.

Orban was holding talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Thursday. One of the topics for discussion was the start of talks on Ukraine's accession to the EU, scheduled for mid-December.

🇰🇵🇺🇸 North Korea reprimanded the United States this week for its duplicity in helping South Korea deploy its inaugural military satellite soon after condemning Pyongyang for similar actions.

North Korea claimed a successful launch of its first reconnaissance satellite on November 21, under Kim Jong Un's supervision. Seoul subsequently accused Pyongyang of escalating tensions in the Korean Peninsula.

The National Aerospace Technology Administration (NATA) of North Korea highlighted this contradiction, labeling the US's stance as an "illegal double standard," per media sources. NATA argues that space should be seen as a "common asset of mankind."

North Korea's NATA stated, "If the gangster-like logic of the US, that its stooge can do anything and a country hostile to it cannot exercise even the basic right as a sovereign state, is connived and tolerated." This comment underscores the tension between the US's approach towards allies and adversaries.

🇯🇵 Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said he had decided to step down as leader of the Kochikai faction of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) over a scandal involving years of concealing income and expenditure from ticket sales for fundraiser events.

"I want to take the initiative and work hard to restore trust in the party's politics. So this is why I have made the decision to leave the faction during my term as Prime Minister and LDP President," Kishida was quoted as saying by Japanese broadcaster.

Meanwhile, the opposition Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan has called for the resignation of Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yasutoshi Nishimura over the money scandal, according to a broadcast by the Japanese parliament.

Threat of direct Russia-NATO clash triggering WWIII ‘never been this real’ - Medvedev

The “threat of a direct clash between Russia and NATO triggering World War III has never been this real since the Cuban Missile Crisis,” Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev warned in a Telegram post.

The Biden administration’s “primitive blackmail of the US Congress” is hardly new, and has historical precedents, he stated, adding that the crux of the matter is that:

1. Never have they extorted so much money for a minor, collapsing state.

2. Never have they so brazenly splurged funds on a country that has openly corrupted the current president of the United States and members of his family.
This is an entirely new phenomenon in US political discourse, “crafted by Joe, Hunter and Co.,” Medvedev underscored.

Joe Biden, he pointed out, “‘faces the prospect of impeachment (which is unlikely), and losing the elections (which is very likely).” Hence, the “boorish blackmail, incessant hysteria, and bizarre hints addressed to us.”

The administration and their “petrified fostering” - aka Ukraine’s President Zelensky - will, of course, get the money they covet, if not now, then in the New Year, the Russian Security Council deputy chairman said.

They will continue to do business “at any cost,” and “more rivers of blood will flow, with responsibility for this lying with the Biden family and all their Bandera henchmen,” Dmitry Medvedev concluded.

🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia postponed the crown prince's visit to the UK shortly before Putin's trip to Riyadh, the Financial Times reports.

British and Saudi officials had been discussing the visit for several months, with a date of December 3 being considered. Saudi officials have denied any connection with Vladimir Putin's reception in Riyadh. In Britain, some MPs have already assessed the story as a diplomatic failure by London.

Ukraine Sacrifices Troops to Save Equipment

A recent report revealed that photographs of the five new mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were conspicuously lacking in combat equipment.

A US magazine article suggests that the new units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not receive Western combat vehicles, as Kiev fears that the new equipment will quickly be depleted in combat. Instead, the brigades are expected to receive outdated BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles, known for their poor crew protection.

If a BMP-series vehicle is hit, "the entire crew dies," a Ukrainian soldier said, as quoted by the article.

Western military aid to Ukraine plummeted 87 percent year-on-year from August to October, according to a recent report by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

UK's Cameron skewered over ‘Ukraine aid boosts US jobs' comment

Former British Prime Minister David Cameron was castigated across the internet for tone-deaf arguments in favor of ‘Ukraine aid’.

Cameron, the UK’s newly-appointed foreign secretary, contended that funneling billions to back the Kiev regime stimulates the US economy, thereby creating more jobs.

The British politician hailed the West’s commitment to fighting “to the last Ukrainian” as an “investment in the American defense-industrial base.”

As Ukraine’s failed counteroffensive racks up massive manpower losses, Cameron told reporters at the Aspen Security Forum in Washington, DC, that the money being sent to Ukraine is "being used very effectively."

The British foreign secretary's remarks were excoriated online as ‘stupid’. Netizens speculated that US President Joe Biden was ‘sending talking points’ to foreign politicians, while others condemned the ‘warmongers' fueling the Ukraine conflict.

‘Americans are very pragmatic guys, the main goal is their own well-being’

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's remarks that 90% of military aid to Ukraine has been spent in the US itself. He also noted that Washington’s main concern has always been Americans.

Further, he called Washington’s plans to convince Russia to negotiate on Ukraine on terms favorable to Kiev by the end of 2024 unrealistic.
