🇷🇺 Best in the World: Russia Celebrates the Strategic Rocket Forces Day
63 years ago today, Russia’s Strategic Rocket Forces were born, giving Moscow the ability to reliably counter enemy nuclear aggression.
“These are the main forces ensuring deterrence against the enemy from a possible nuclear attack,” Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences member Konstantin Sivkov told Sputnik. “The Strategic Missile Forces, together with our fleet, are the only reliable guarantor ensuring the prevention of a large-scale war” between Russia and its potential adversaries.
Russia’s nuclear missile forces are without a doubt "the best in the world,” Soviet and Russian Army veteran, reserve colonel and military expert Andrei Koshkin stated. With the advent of hypersonic weapons, Russia will have a decades-long protection against US attempts to undermine its strategic deterrent, he added.

🇷🇺🇨🇳 On Sunday, Russian gas giant Gazprom announced that it had set a new daily record for gas deliveries to China the previous day.
The new record emphasizes the importance of Russia’s partnership with its Asian neighbor, as Europe struggles with the irony of their economic failures following their unprecedented sanctions imposed on Russia, as well as the cost of liquefied natural gas exports from the US.
Gazprom had also announced cooperation plans on Thursday with the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for next year. Those plans include potential gas supplies from Russia through Mongolia.

"On December 16, China’s application for the supply of Russian gas through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline once again exceeded the daily contractual obligations. Gazprom delivered all the requested volumes and set a new historical record for daily gas supplies to China," the statement said.

💵🔥 Western companies that announced their withdrawal from Russia following the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine in 2022, suffered losses of more than $103 billion, The New York Times reported on Sunday.
The report noted that Russia has been able to benefit from the departure of companies, including by dictating conditions for them to withdraw their businesses from the country.
In addition, the newspaper said that while Ukraine was preoccupied with short-term imperatives, such as pleading for more aid, the stability of the Russian economy allowed Moscow to play a long game.
After the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Western countries significantly expanded their list of sanctions against Moscow. The European Union, in particular, has already adopted 11 sanctions packages.

🇷🇺 Russia's salmon caviar production has hit a ten-year record high, according to the All-Russian Association of Fishery Producers.
Between January and October this year, fisheries generated 22,288 tons of this delicacy, marking the largest yield since 2010.
This figure represents a significant production increase of 2.6 times the amount during the same period of 2022.
The industry association attributed the growth to a bountiful salmon fishing season in the Far East. "Our fishermen caught roughly 609,000 tons of Pacific salmon," stated German Zverev, the association’s president, via his Telegram channel.
He further projected that caviar production could surpass 25,000 tons by year's end. This estimate significantly exceeds the average annual consumption in Russia, which has hovered between 15,000 and 20,000 tons over half a decade.

🌾🇷🇺 Russia is not interested in grain deal renewal, agriculture minister states
After the arrangement ended in July, Russia opposed its extension, since in reality the deal covered the commercial shipment of the grain to well-fed countries.
🗣 "We are not interested in renewing the grain deal," Russian Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said, explaining that "our grain exports, given the shutdown of the grain deal, did not fall in any way, and even increased. Already, according to the data as of mid-December, more than 30 million tonnes have been exported within this agricultural year, which is more than in the same period last year."
Patrushev added that the decision not to extend the grain deal was "political" and that Russia will continue supplying grain to those who need it.

🇺🇸🇮🇱 US Senator Chis Van Hollen said during an interview with an American news channel that Prime Minister Netanyahu has “shut the door” on efforts to establish a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine following the war.
US President Joe Biden has repeatedly expressed support for Israel in their war against Hamas, but has also called for a two-state solution in the event that the conflict ends. However, the tensions between the US and Israel reached new highs when Netanyahu pushed back against the White House after they urged Israel to end its large-scale ground campaign in Gaza, and focus its attack on Hamas.
