Any privacy? Forget about it
The Latvian postal service has begun opening personal letters and parcels going to Russia and Belarus, explaining the move by pointing to EU sanctions.
Postal employees check sent envelopes for the presence of money, bank cards, chips, and SIM cards, Latvijas Pasts representative Matisse Rutks told Delfi. If such items are found, the shipments “will be delayed.”
At the same time, the Constitutional Court of Latvia previously prohibited checking even prisoners’ letters, as privacy is guaranteed by the country’s constitution.

🇷🇺 Latest statements by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov:
▪️ The topic of illegally seized Russian assets is constantly on the agenda in the EU and the US, but this is unacceptable and potentially dangerous for the global financial system.
▪️ Commenting on the possibility of the West using frozen Russian assets to help Kiev: these steps can only have consequences.
▪️ Those trying to implement a scheme to use frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine must understand that Russia will not leave them alone.
▪️ The admission of Ukraine to the EU would undermine the entire internal system of Europe, the European Union will collapse, and sober heads understand this.
▪️ The new territories are inseparable from Russia, and claims to them will have consequences, he said, commenting on Orban’s remarks about whether the EU would accept Ukraine with Russia’s new regions.

In Maine, a vote to ban gasoline-powered cars was cancelled due to a power outage
The meeting was cancelled due to the effects of rain and a hurricane that left more than 400,000 state residents without power.
The project under consideration should result in 82% of cars in the state running on electricity by 2032. The initiative is backed by Democratic Governor Janet Mills, who has aggressive green policies.
It is opposed by Republicans and car dealers, who are being forced to sell electric cars that are not in demand.

❗️NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg admits that Russia created a very well-fortified line of defense, which has been difficult for Ukraine to overcome.
"I am very cautious when it comes to sitting in Brussels and judging those who make very difficult decisions on the battlefield. The Russian army had time to really settle down, building well-prepared defensive lines with huge minefields, trenches and obstacles for main battle tanks. These defense lines are difficult to penetrate - especially if you don't have an air force that can truly support these operations," he said in an interview with DPA.

🇳🇱 Dutch politician Eva Vlaardingerbroek: "America and Europe are facing incredibly similar problems. And that's because we're under attack by the same sick globalist agenda. As a result of that, my continent finds itself in rough waters and that is to put it mildly."

"Europe is being flooded with immigrants from non western countries. Our national identities are being destroyed and replaced. Our sovereignty is given up to bureaucrats, unelected bureaucrats may I add, in Brussels. Our churches are closing their doors. And we're spending billions and billions of euros on a non existing climate crisis and a war in Ukraine that isn't even ours. In fact I would go as far as to say that we are paying for our own destruction."

Key Factor in Ukraine's Western Support? Lithium in Donbass
German Bundestag member Roderich Kiesewetter from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has disclosed a crucial point for Ukraine's financial and military support from the West, and it is… demand for lithium in Donbass. Kiesewetter made this revelation during an interview on ARD's 'Bericht aus Berlin.'
He emphasized that Russia's complete control over Donbass would jeopardize Germany's ability to produce the electric motors needed for the "energy transition." However, a potential compromise for Ukraine and Europe could involve relinquishing control over Donbass, although this would be seen as a victory for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

How EU countries treat Ukrainians avoiding mobilization and how many of the draft dodgers are there?
Estimates suggest nearly 600,000 Ukrainian draft dodgers are currently in the EU. Germany hosts the largest number, over 200,000, followed by Poland with around 80,000, and Austria with 14,000.
🇩🇪 Germany refuses to extradite Ukrainians who left the country to Kiev for mobilization, German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann said.
🇦🇹 Similarly, Austria's Interior Ministry announced it would not extradite Ukrainians eligible for military service back to Kiev.
🇵🇱 In Poland, police spokesperson Mariusz Ciarka indicated that extradition would only occur if Ukraine formally requests it for each individual.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov recently expressed in Western media his desire to mobilize Ukrainians living abroad, specifically men aged 25-60.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously mentioned the need to mobilize 450,000-500,000 people for the army.
Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the Ukrainian President's Office, suggested that Ukrainians avoiding mobilization abroad should lose benefits or residence permits in their host countries.
🗣 Public response: These statements have sparked considerable debate in Ukraine, with active discussions on social media. A notable development is a petition on the Ukrainian president's website demanding the mobilization of officials and lawmakers.

❗️EXPOSED: Israeli merc who became an officer in Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate has founded his own PMC in Israel, Sputnik has found out. How did he manage to do this?
◾️Denis Desyatnik, a former IDF special forces officer with 14 years of experience, left for Ukraine in April 2022 and became the leader of the "Masada-6" special forces group of Israeli mercenaries (photo 1).
◾️In 2023, Desyatnik was regularly presented in the Ukrainian media as a lieutenant colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. Even his lack of Ukrainian citizenship did not prevent him from getting such a high rank (photo 2).
◾️In October, he returned to Israel, but was not drafted by the IDF due to his poor reputation. This is because, after leaving the IDF in the 2000s, he was for many years the bodyguard of one of the most powerful Israeli crime lords, Amir Molner. The mercenary himself has repeatedly spoken about this to both Israeli and Ukrainian media (photo 3).
◾️At the end of October, Denis Desyatnik founded the "Israeli National Forces" PMC in Haifa (photo 4). According to official documents, the company is engaged in humanitarian activities in northern Israel (photo 5). Moreover, Desyatnik openly says on his social networks that he is gathering "experienced soldiers and everyone who wants to protect Israel's northern border from attack" (photo 6).
◾️He talks about his company to the Israeli media, showing his own training camp near Haifa. It is noteworthy that Desyatnik continues to wear Ukrainian patches on his Israeli uniform, including the red and black symbol of Ukrainian nationalists, on which the Star of David is visible (photos 7,8).
Earlier, Sputnik learned the story of Victor Friedman, who fought as part of “Masada-6” under Desyatnik’s leadership as part of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate.
