🚔⚖️ Former Las Vegas Raiders football player Henry Ruggs was driving at 156MPH seconds before he crashed into a RAV4 SUV, instantly killing a 23-year-old woman and her dog.

Ruggs was found to have a blood alcohol content of .161%, just over twice Nevada’s legal limit of .08%.

Charged with a felony DUI resulting in death, and felony reckless driving, Ruggs appeared in court on Wednesday and posted $150,000 bail on the strict condition that he remained confined at home, is electronically monitored, consumes no alcohol, does not drive and surrenders his passport.

💵 The Federal Reserve has vowed to keep inflation under control, particularly for those Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck.

The Fed chairman, Jerome Powell, asserted that the US central bank has the tools, including rate hikes, to subdue price pressure.

“We understand completely that it's particularly people who are living paycheck to paycheck that are seeing higher grocery and gas costs, and when winter comes, higher heating (bills) for their homes,” Powell told reporters.

Powell stated that achieving maximum employment is also one of the Federal Reserve's principal tasks to help struggling Americans.
