Blinken's alpine misadventure: Stranded in Davos with no oxygen and no escape plan
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken got stranded in Davos and was unable to fly back to the United States due to a critical error affecting his Boeing aircraft, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, Blinken and his delegation were informed that the Boeing 737 had been deemed "unsafe to fly" because of an oxygen leak that could not be fixed.
The report added that a smaller plane was dispatched from Brussels to Zurich to transport Blinken back to the US, while the rest of his delegation had to take a commercial flight.
Unprecedented Western sanctions were supposed to cripple Russia’s airline. But nearly two years later, American Boeing planes are the ones imploding mid flight.

Iran’s Pakistan strikes ‘sent strong message’ to US, Israel and their terror proxies
“The Iranians are sending strong messages both to the Israeli and US regimes as well as their proxies” through Tuesday’s missile and drone attack in Pakistan, political analyst Dr. Mohammad Marandi told Sputnik.
While Pakistan has condemned the strikes publicly, Marandi is confident that “behind closed doors,” there is more understanding and cooperation between the two countries than meets the eye, with both nations “very concerned about terrorism.”
“Iran and Pakistan…will continue to preserve strong relations,” the scholar stressed.

“The so-called Jaish ul-Adl terror group [targeted in the strikes] has massacred many innocent Iranians. Since Pakistan’s government has limited control over areas near the Iranian border, Iran felt that it had no option but to strike at this group,” Marandi said.

Ukraine has already been sold in parts, and the West doesn't even hide it anymore:
"We're talking about the richest soil [black soil] and affordable IT expertise, making the situation with the country's reconstruction very attractive," said former US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker.
Earlier Pritzker was appointed by President Biden as the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery.

The US and its allies further have escalated tension on the Korean peninsula with a show of strength aimed at North Korea.
The United States, South Korea and Japan held three-day joint naval exercises in international waters near the South’s Jeju Island, according to the South Korean Ministry of National Defense.
The drills involved nine warships, American aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson and guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton, alongside South Korean and Japanese destroyers equipped with the Aegis missile-defense system.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un denounced the trilateral drills, which are not the first this year, as "invasion rehearsals." Kim offered a cutting verbal response to the actions by the US and its allies, denouncing the latter as Washington’s “stooges.”
The drills came a day after North Korea successfully launched a solid-fuel medium-range ballistic missile. The DPRK has been ramping up its missile testing in response to the provocative drills held near its nation’s borders. Kim has reiterated on numerous occasions that Pyongyang is forced to build up its forces out of self-defense.

▪️Who is the British merc who was awarded medal by Ukrainian Command and then lamented loss of his fellow 'Soldier of Fortune'?
▪️Why did French intel agent meet foreign merc in Ukraine 2 year prior the conflict?

🇮🇷 Top 5 Iranian weapons that strike terror in enemies’ hearts
The IRGC launch of a series of ballistic missile and drone strikes at terrorist and Mossad targets in Syria, Iraq and Pakistan Monday and Tuesday, with the Syria attack involving the use of a missile which traveled over 1,230 km to its destination. The strikes once again showed off the capabilities of the Iranian defense industry’s ability to create top-notch military hardware. Ballistic missiles are one of the Islamic Republic’s strong suits, but certainly not the only one.
▪️ Fattah-1 is a maneuverable hypersonic missile that can accelerate to blazing fast speeds up to Mach 15, and which is powered by a two-stage solid fuel engine. The missile’s unveiling put Iran into a small club of nations with hypersonic capabilities (which excludes the US). If produced in sufficient numbers, the Fattah-1 will give Iran the capability to cut through enemy air defenses, no matter how sophisticated, like a hot knife through butter.
▪️Abu Mahdi is a 6 meter-long anti-ship cruise missile packed with 410 kg of high explosive. The missile operates at subsonic speeds of approximately 900 km per hour, and has a range of over 1,000 km – nearly triple that of previous generations of Iranian naval cruise missile designs.
▪️Mohajer-10 is a new generation heavy, high endurance, long-range reconnaissance, strike, and electronic warfare drone. The small plane-sized UAV has a 300 kg payload, a 2,000 km range, and a maximum flight altitude of up to 7 km.
▪️Sevom Khordad is a homegrown air defense system designed to strike enemy missiles, drones and aircraft at long ranges. Its missiles have a range of up to 200 km, and its radars and targeting computer can detect up to 100 targets simultaneously at distances up to 350 km. In June 2019, Iran shot down a stealthy $180 million US RQ-4A Global Hawk surveillance drone over Iranian airspace in the Hormuz Strait, using the Sevom Khordad to do it.
▪️Sayyad is a tiny Iranian tracked armored vehicle that packs a serious punch. The 4.9m x 2.2m x 2.1m vehicle can be fitted with a heavy machinegun, anti-tank missile launchers or 77mm rocket launchers, and is nimble enough to accelerate to up to 95 km per hour on the highway.

An upswing in nickel supply dominance by Indonesian producers has triggered Australian companies to succumb to low prices that analysts anticipate will influence the market strategy of the world's leading nickel miner, BHP Group. This has caused a 40 percent price fall of the metal over the last year, settling at approximately $16,000 per ton.
Weak nickel prices have compelled high-priced Australian producers to declare massive restructuring and devaluations, with First Quantum in Canada also scaling down output recently.
BHP's earnings dwindled last year, falling 61 percent from 2022 to $164 million. At the company's Western Australia branch, it's contemplating refurbishing the smelter there and expanding the mine while trying to develop another mine it inherited by acquiring a sister company.
Nickel is famed as a critical component for electric vehicle (EV) batteries that boosts a car's energy density, covering longer mileage per charge.
