UPDATE | Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), the largest industry lobbying group, slammed the move.

“In the midst of a deadly pandemic, the Biden Administration has taken an unprecedented step that will undermine our global response to the pandemic and compromise safety. This decision will sow confusion between public and private partners, further weaken already strained supply chains and foster the proliferation of counterfeit vaccines," PhRMA CEO Stephen Ubl said in a statement.

In a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Cammack called on the social media platform to take measures against human smuggling advertisements, while pointing at what she described as the "silencing" and "shadow-banning" of conservative voices.

Cammack provided screenshots from a Facebook search which reportedly show ads promoting "passage to the United States."
🔫 The South Carolina House of Representatives voted Wednesday afternoon to allow execution by firing squad as a legitimate means of capital punishment.

The bill will now go to Governor Henry McMaster’s desk, and if signed will make South Carolina the fourth US state to reintroduce execution by firing squad, alongside Utah, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed into law a new voting measure that strengthens the existing voter identification requirements, prohibits the mass mailing of ballots and bans voter harvesting.

The new law requires additional identification when a voter seeks to change any registration information or requests a vote-by-mail ballot.
