British activist and TV host Russell Brand about Tucker Carlson’s interview with Putin: "The reason that the legacy media are terrified and quacking is because this could lead to a populist uprising and rejection of their myth. This is the hypocrisy that the legacy media continuously propagate, pretending that they're playing a different game with Russia and that Russia doesn't have a right to their own national identity to their own trajectory."

🇪🇺🇺🇸 Europe fears Transatlantic trade war under Trump, but what has Biden done for Brussels? PART I

The European Commission is reportedly drawing up an “impact assessment” of a second Trump term in office, fearing 10 percent tariffs on European goods, a response to digital services taxes targeting American tech giants, and other measures meant to tackle the massive $200Bln+ US trade deficit with the bloc.

But perhaps Brussels should inquire about the impact the Biden administration’s policies have had on Europe over the past three years, especially after the start of NATO-Russia proxy war in Ukraine in 2022.

🔺Europe has had to pay at least €185Bln ($198.8Bln) extra on natural gas over the past 20 months amid efforts to reduce dependence on Russia to support the US-led effort to “punish” Moscow for its military operation in Ukraine.

🔺The Eurozone has spent much of the past two years slipping in and out of recession, with growth forecasts approaching zero as high energy costs, inflation, and regional instability threaten countries and companies region-wide.

🇪🇺🇺🇸 Europe fears Transatlantic trade war under Trump, but what has Biden done for Brussels? PART II

🔺European industrial manufacturers led by Germany are suffering possibly their worst economic crisis since the Second World War. “Deindustrialization is already taking place on a considerable scale here. If the general conditions remain the same, it is very likely that more companies will follow and more and more important parts of the value creation [stream] will migrate,” Deloitte partner Florian Ploner warned in November.

🔺The Biden administration’s $390Bln Build Back Better ‘green’ spending and subsidies package passed in 2022 has enticed European producers to leave the EU and come to America, where energy is cheaper and support for producers plentiful, with Brussels presented with a fait accompli.

🔺Pushing Europe to abandon Russian pipeline gas, the Biden administration has instead promoted the export of American liquefied natural gas to the EU aboard tankers sailing across the Atlantic – a process Russia’s energy ministry has said means prices “at least” 30-40 percent higher than Russian natural gas.

Who is Oleksandr Syrsky, Ukraine’s new Commander-in-Chief?

Valery Zaluzhny is out as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The torch has now been passed to Oleksandr Syrsky, a senior officer in Ukraine’s military command.

Gen. Syrsky, born and raised in Russia’s Vladimir Region, led the Ukrainian campaign to try to hold the line in Artemovsk (Bakhmut), a strategic settlement in the Donbass, and then mounted a subsequent “counteroffensive” of Artemovsk, failing both times and getting tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers killed. Russian forces ended up liberating the city, thus gaining better strategic ground in this area.

What else do we know about Syrsky’s background in the army?

🔺In 2019, Zelensky appointed Syrsky as the commander of the Ukrainian ground forces;

🔺On August 23, 2020, he was promoted to the rank of colonel-general;

🔺After the start of the special military op, Syrsky led the “defense” of Kiev, for which Zelensky gave him the “Hero of Ukraine” noscript;

🔺In 2015, Syrsky was in charge of covering Ukrainian forces exit from the so-called Debaltsevo Couldron, a major battle between Kiev regime forces and defenders of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Syrsky received the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky for the ‘successful completion of the combat mission.” Many Ukrainian soldiers, however, blamed Syrsky for failing the operation due to heavy losses.

In December, 2022 Syrsky told the Economist that "the Russians aren’t idiots." "They aren’t weak. Anyone who underestimates [them] is headed for defeat,” he prophesized.
