US President Joe Biden during a press conference rejected the Special Counsel denoscription of him having poor memory, saying he knows what he's doing and that he 'put the country back on its feet'.

"I'm an old man, and I know what the hell I'm doing," Biden said on Thursday. "I've been president and I put this country back on his feet. I don't need his recommendation."

Earlier in the day, the Justice Department released a report on the federal investigation into Biden's mishandling of classified documents. According to the report, Special Counsel Robert Hur, in the probe investigating Biden's mishandling of classified materials, concluded that Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials but recommends no criminal charges against him.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson will help Americans to understand what's really going on in Ukraine, debunking the Biden administration and subservient US mainstream media's narrative, according to retired US Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, a former analyst for the US Department of Defense.

"I think many Americans will not watch the interview, at least not live," Kwiatkowski told Sputnik. "It was advertised here, but not advocated for by either mainstream media or the government, where National Security Council spokesman John Kirby stated earlier today was basically going to be 'lies' from Putin."

(PART2) Commenting on Putin's historic remarks, Kwiatkowski explained that it's important to look at the broad historical perspective when it comes to the Ukraine conflict given that Russians and Ukrainians are deeply interconnected.

"Understanding this helps Americans understand that other forces that wish for and want conflict have had a role to play, as in 2008, 2014, and with the refusal to honor the Minsk treaty that would have stopped the fighting in the Donbass prior to 2022," she said.

The former Pentagon analyst emphasized that Americans have become weary of the Ukraine conflict and don't want it to spiral into a Russia-NATO war. Per Kwiatkowski, Putin nailed it when he referred to US domestic problems, the damage Washington is doing to the US dollar and America's ability to be a strong, healthy, economically productive economy.
