😮 👮‍♀️ More than half of New York Police Department cops wish they had never joined the force in the first place given the current relations between the force and the public, The New York Post reported, citing an internal department study of 6,000 uniformed officers.

According to the leaked survey, 56% of officers say they would not put on the badge if they had to do it all over again, and they also believe the public disrespects and distrusts them (46% agree, 42% disagree).

Moreover, 80% of the officers, detectives, sergeants, lieutenants, and captains polled said they are afraid of criminal liability, being sued, or being wrongfully reprimanded if they go after criminals aggressively.

Officers complain their daily work has been disrupted by Black Lives Matter riots, the Defund the Police movement, bail-reform laws that keep violent offenders out of jail, and legislative measures that put the burden of liability on officers while emboldening criminals.
📱 Mark Richards, Kyle Rittenhouse's lawyer, told that he has changed his cell phone due to death threats so numerous he "can't count," but it didn’t help a lot. He said that he currently uses his wife’s phone, but intimidators have reached it too.

"I would love for things to change, for people to talk to one another without fighting, but, unfortunately, I don't see it changing any time soon," the defence attorney noted.

🇨🇳"Kick their commie a*ses"; Ted Cruz says fully boycotting the Beijing Olympics is a mistake, instead offers a diplomatic boycott.

He thinks the US must do two things:

🔸 "We actually show the courage the Women's Tennis Association is showing to call out the murder, the genocide, the torture, the lies, the complicity in COVID-19 of the Chinese Communist government, to speak the truth,” Cruz said during a “Face the Nation” appearance on CBS.

🔸 “I really hope our young men and women - that they go over there and kick their commie asses - we need to win in the Olympics,” Cruz added.

The Texas senator suggested that corporations 'show a tiny bit of courage' and cut off ads for the Beijing Olympics.
All about Texas: Beto O’Rourke, running for governor of Texas, said that his campaign is “not going to be about Joe Biden” while blasting the POTUS for a lack of “urgency” on immigration.

🗣 “This campaign in Texas is not going to be about Joe Biden. It’s not going to be about Donald Trump. It’s not going to be about anyone from outside of our state,” O’Rourke said during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“This is going to be about the people of Texas and what the people of Texas want. And I have told you, they want the big things, like jobs, great schools, and making sure everyone can see a doctor. But they also want to see some competence in their government.” he added.

🧐As for Joe Biden, the former Democratic Representative said he doesn't see the urgency when it comes to rewriting US immigration laws to match need and the reality.
