Local authorities found Boeing whistleblower John Barnett dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the state of South Carolina over the weekend, the Charleston County Coroner's Office said in a press release.

Barnett was recently cross-examined by Boeing's lawyers and his own attorney, and he was scheduled to answer more questions this past Saturday but failed to appear, media reported.

Barnett, who worked at Boeing for over three decades before retiring in 2017, accused the company of cutting corners in order to get its 787 Dreamliner jets out of production quickly at the North Charleston plant, compromising the safety of the aircraft.

❗️ Several attempts to violate the state border by Ukrainian units have been prevented in Russia's Belgorod and Kursk regions since March 10, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reports.

Over 100 enemy personnel, six tanks, a Caesar self-propelled gun, 20 armored combat vehicles and a stronghold were destroyed.

The strikes against armed formations in the Ukrainian border region continue, the FSB said.

The FSB added that reports of Ukrainian armed formations entering some border settlements in Belgorod and Kursk regions are untrue.

The Russian State Duma adopted an appeal to the Bundestag calling on it to investigate the participation of Bundeswehr soldiers in hostilities in Ukraine.

The reason was the publication of an audio recording of a conversation between German officers about possible attacks on the Crimean Bridge.

Ukrainian forces in January tried to attack using drones a hangar in the Smolensk region where parts of the Polish Tu-154 that crashed in 2010 are stored, DPR head Denis Pushilin's advisor Jan Gagin told Sputnik.

He provided the route of one of the downed drones that was taken from the device's memory card.

Kiev was trying to destabilize the situation in Russia by doing so - it believed that it would be able to claim that Russia was trying to destroy evidence so that it would not be able to reinvestigate the case.

⚡️The military IL-76 crashed during takeoff in Russia's Ivanovo region, the Ministry of Defense said.

There were eight crew members and seven passengers on board.

The cause of the plane crash was a fire in one of the engines during takeoff. A commission from the Main Command of the Russian Aerospace Forces flew to the scene of the incident.
