Foreign observers heap praise on the course of 2024 Russian presidential elections

Speaking to Sputnik, foreign observers keeping an eye on the ongoing elections have unanimously praised the compliance of the election procedure with international law.

• Italy’s Andrea Lucidi, who came to the city of Lugansk to monitor the elections, said that everything is going on without violations;

• Mathias Faravelli of Uruguay specifically lauded the organization of the electoral process in the Zaporozhye region;

• Observer from Kenya Alex Muigai Njuguna is supervising the election process in the Siberian city of Perm, where he said voting “is going smoothly” – something he is “satisfied with";

• Venezuela’s Jesus Faria Tortosa said that "what we are seeing is a great battle between truth and lies, which is a powerful tool of the West.”

• Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe of Burundi said that he was “very much impressed” by the election process and that thus far, there have been no complaints about the security of E-voting, which is great success.
