Zelensky admits that Russian air strikes are having a massive impact, begs for more Western weapons

"There are no delays in Russian missiles, as in aid packages to our state. "Shaheeds" do not have indecision, like some politicians. It is important to understand the cost of delays and delayed decisions. "Patriot" systems must protect Kharkov and Zaporozhye, air defense is needed to protect people, infrastructure, houses and dams. The partners know exactly what is needed. They can definitely support it" said Ukrainian president.

⚡️Kremlin says Russia is now in state of war, everyone should understand this.

"We are in a state of war. Yes, it started out as a special military operation, but as soon as this bunch was formed there, when the collective West became a participant in it on the side of Ukraine, it had become a war for us," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The legal status of the special military op, according to him, de jure has not changed, but de facto all this has turned into a war against the backdrop of the West’s increasing involvement in the conflict.

The strikes on facilities in Ukraine have made it possible to deprive the enemy of power capacity used for the military-industrial complex, Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the DPR, told Sputnik.

There will be no serious problems posed to civilians by these strikes, he said.

"True, the Ukrainian authorities may redistribute electricity in favor of the military. After all, as recent years have shown, they are doing everything to make the population of Ukraine poor," he said.

Ukraine 'lacks capacity, personnel & resources' to build own HIMARS’

Ukraine lacks production capacity, trained personnel, and resources to begin producing HIMARS on its own soil any time soon, Andrey Koshkin, a veteran Russian academic specializing in military and international affairs, told Sputnik.

“These plans might get off the ground in 10-15, or even 20 years… It is a very difficult task, and not something that can be up and running any time soon. They are making an attempt to expand local [military] production, of course, attempting to subsidize it… But it will take a long time to master the technology,” the retired colonel said.

Ukraine is developing air defense systems and high-precision missiles similar to the US-made HIMARS, unnamed Kiev officials were cited by The Washington Post as saying. The sources acknowledged that mastering and building such a production could take “decades.”

While Western countries may be ready to share some outdated military production technologies with Ukraine, they would do so under the caveat that “they will be under their control, and that this production would be geared exclusively for this proxy conflict,” Andrey Koshkin noted.

“The West, of course, will not transfer more serious, high-tech, costly or promising technologies, because it is not at all convinced that it will be able to keep Ukraine under its control,” Koshkin said.

🔥 From civilian to deadly sniper: Russian girl crushes Nazi forces akin to Soviet 'Lady Death'

Chernika witnessed the first days of the Russian special military operation as a civilian, stirring her enthusiasm to enlist.

"I've been interested in military service since my childhood. I went to military training classes at school." she told Sputnik. "When the opportunity arose, I decided to enlist. My friends recommended a wonderful military unit to me. I went to the interview, listened to the commanders, and I really liked everything. And so, after the interview, I joined my squad."

Chernika's decision to become a sniper was inspired by the story of Lyudmila Pavlichenko, known as "Lady Death", the most successful female sniper in history with a total of 309 confirmed kills. During the Second World War, Pavlichenko took part in the defense of Odessa and Sevastopol against Nazi forces.

The civilian-turned-sharpshooter has already earned her first "For Courage" medal, which was awarded to her by Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alekseev, first deputy chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

When asked whether it's hard for a girl to serve in a military squad, she answered in earnest that it's equally hard for men and for women. And no, her commander never does her any favors.

"Our commander is very wise, because if they make some allowances for me, then later, when I go on a mission, it will do a disservice to me. No one at the frontline will be interested in whether I am a boy or a girl, or how old I am. Everyone should have the same confidence that my comrade-in-arms can rely on me, and I can rely on my comrade."
