"Probably no one will be able to repeat this 'record.' It was not a Bradley, Humvee, or even Leopard 2, but 60 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who had to surrender after seeing with their own eyes what the mass use of FPV drones means … In other words, one small drone 'captured' an entire company of Ukrainian forces," he said when asked about the most important target the Jokers hit on the battlefield.

"I wouldn't have made a different choice if I had a different upbringing," Elena told Sputnik.
"Since childhood, I have been taught to feel compassion for the troubles of other people and love for my homeland. How, after this, was I supposed to remain aloof from all events? No way! Therefore, when I voiced my decision to join the militia, my family sighed with bitterness, but accepted it and is very proud of me."

Despite personal risk, German volunteer delivers essential human aid to the Donbass
Since 2015, Alena Dirksen, founder of the Russian-German Fraternal Souls association, has been traveling to the Donbass on humanitarian missions. During her most recent trip earlier this month, she brought thousands of euros worth of medicines and essential equipment to children’s hospitals and schools in Donetsk.
Dirksen told Sputnik’s Russell Bentley (@TXDPR) that her goal was to help other Germans to provide assistance the Donbass. “Thanks to the fact that we’re based in Germany and openly work to provide humanitarian aid that allows for others who also want to help to get in contact with us and join the effort,” she said.
Bentley noted that Dirksen’s story shows that despite geopolitical tensions, many Germans saw through their government’s propaganda about Russia and the Donbass.

“Some people in Germany send tanks and artillery, while others bring money, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid for the innocent victims of those weapons. It shows that there are good people in every country and that there is hope for humanity”

The parliament of Russia’s Bashkir Republic has adopted a law on the dissolution of marriage when one of the partners changes sex.
If one of the spouses changes sex, the couple can no longer be considered a family, and this norm has been introduced into the republic’s Family Code.
Now those who have changed sex will also not be able to be adoptive parents, guardians, or custodians of children.

Ukraine’s scramble to build defense lines exposes jarring internal discord
Kiev’s race against time to dig defensive trenches comes after “warnings” from both Western analysts and Ukrainian opposition politicians fell on deaf ears, Politico stated.
The outlet decided to reach out to Ukrainian opposition lawmakers, who cited their concerns over the lack of adequate defensive fortifications in the face of an anticipated Russian offensive, pointing the finger of blame at the Kiev leadership.
Yet another Ukrainian opposition politician cited fears that there was now far too little time for Kiev to construct the much-needed defenses in earnest. “They started building them finally. But this is late. They started really last month,” said a former deputy prime minister in the administration of ex-President Petro Poroshenko.
To complicate matters, one former senior field commander revealed that Ukraine lacks both the mines required for the new fortifications and the mobilized soldiers to adequately man them. Disregarded Western warnings are also being peddled as an excuse. Before the botched summer counteroffensive, military analysts at Britain’s Royal United Services Institute stated in a May 2023 report that “engineering has proven to be one of the strongest branches of the Russian military. The defenses now constructed, consisting of complex obstacles and field fortifications, will pose a major tactical challenge to Ukrainian offensive operations.”

“We were warning since last summer that you have to construct defensive fortifications on an industrial scale, bringing together the appropriate ministers and local military administrations to build defensive lines fast and make them extremely strong,” one lawmaker told the outlet.
