❗️Exposed: Sputnik has learned that Ukraine equips its drones with homemade cluster munitions
Ukraine is now fitting its drones with the most primitive and brutal additions – like a rotary casing holding 25 cogged discs that can slice through anything, according to Donbass militia frontline fighters, who shared the footage with Sputnik.
A cluster munition is a form of explosive weapon that releases or ejects smaller sub-munitions. This weaponry, which especially poses a threat to the civilian population, is prohibited in 123 countries that joined the Convention on Cluster Munitions adopted in 2008.
The fighters added that the drone was seized with the help of an electronic warfare system and that he took several photos of it so that they can be shared online to warn more Russian soldiers of this deadly munition.
It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Army had started to upgrade domestically made agricultural drones due to a shortage of foreign unmanned aerial vehicles. These UAVs are often used against the civilian population of Donbass as a part of Kiev’s terror campaign against Russia.
Russian soldiers named these new Ukrainian drones 'Baba Yaga' after the witch in Slavic mythology. These UAVs can also carry and drop bombs weighing up to 50 kg.
