📈👩 Disney has chosen Susan Arnold the chairperson of the board, marking the first female appointment to this position in the history of the company.

Robert Iger, who is also Disney CEO, will leave the company at the end of the year, while Arnold, who has been a part of the board for 14 years, will assume her new position on December 31, 2021.

Ethan Crumbley, the 15-year old suspected Oxford High School shooter in Oxford, Michigan was brought to the school with his parents for a “face-to-face meeting” with administrators mere hours before the shooting, report says.

According to the information, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard revealed that the meeting was apparently related to Crumbley’s behaviour in the classroom.

At the same time, the sheriff said there’s no indication of Crumbley having prior disciplinary issues or being expelled from school before, and that school officials said there was no record of Crumbley ever being bullied.

Students at Arizona State University are protesting the possibility of Kyle Rittenhouse studying there.

Protesters, led by Students for Socialism ASU, Students for Justice in Palestine, Multicultural Solidarity Coalition, and MECHA de ASU have been heard chanting "killer Kyle off our campus."

One of the participants, Farha, said that "killer Kyle should not be going to this campus, that is White supremacy at its peak."
California Governor Gavin Newsom has blamed local officials for not prosecuting shoplifting crimes: "If people are breaking in, people stealing your property, they need to be arrested. Police need to arrest them. Prosecutors need to prosecute them. Judges need to hold people accountable for breaking the law," he said. "These are not victimless crimes, and I have no empathy for these criminal elements."
Waukesha runaway driver suspect Darrell Brooks told judge in 2011 that he couldn't pay child support because he "was getting incarcerated," Fox News reports. Darrell Brooks owes over $41K in child support.

🇺🇸🎄 New York's main Christmas tree has been lit up at Rockefeller Center. This year’s tree is an 85-year-old Norway spruce towering at 24 meters tall (79 feet) and weighing nearly 12 tons.

The tree is wrapped in over 50,000 multicolored LED lights and features a three-dimensional star, weighing approximately 408 kg (900 pounds). The star itself is covered in 70 spikes adorned with over 3 million Swarovski crystals.

A family in California lost four members after a crash with a drunken driver on 20 November (the suspect is now arrested). But this week brought more bad news: the family’s home in North Highlands, near Sacramento, was burgled.

Their relatives have started a crowdfunding campaign to help the family and have already raised more than $100,000.
