👀 A school board in Virginia has returned to the library two controversial books that some parents say are “obscene and pedophilic”.
📗 The first book in question is Lawn Boy, a novel by Jonathan Evison, which includes long denoscriptions of sex acts performed by a 10-year-old.
📘 The second book, Maia Kobabe’s Gender Queer: A Memoir, features photos of sexual acts between a man and a boy.
The books were banned months ago following public outcry. However, the board review found them appropriate for high school students.
Some parents are now demanding the board members to resign.

🇨🇳🇹🇼 US warns of ‘terrible consequences’ if China invades Taiwan
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken voiced hope that “China's leaders think very carefully about this and about not precipitating a crisis that would have, I think, terrible consequences for lots of people, and one that's in no one's interest, starting with China”.
👀 When asked whether the US would send its forces in the event of an invasion of Taiwan by Beijing, Blinken said that Washington has been “[…] consistently clear, over many years that we are committed to making sure that Taiwan has the means to defend itself and […] we will continue to make good on that commitment”.

👮 Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard confirmed to reporters on Saturday that James, Jennifer, and Ethan Crumbley are "individually in isolation" in the same jail.
Earlier Saturday, authorities revealed that the Michigan couple was found in an art studio building in Detroit, Michigan, after local police received a tip.
The Crumbleys were initially scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on Friday, and now additional charges may be leveled against the couple due to their flight and the subsequent manhunt.

What has the Biden administration been doing regarding the recent mass thefts in the country? 🚔
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki gave an update on Friday to the question: “A record number of police officers have been shot and killed this year. What is President Biden going to do about all this lawlessness?”
🗣Psaki responded: “The president proposed additional funding in his budget over the funding that had been proposed by the prior president to increase and support local police departments, to make sure we keep cops on the beat, and we ensure that local communities are working in partnership to crack down on crime and any dangers they see in their community. I think a root cause in a lot of communities is the pandemic.”
Let's blame everything on Covid, because why not?

Video shows the man desperately driving away from the police even though the cops had blocked his car and pointed weapons at him.
The cops did what they could, though, just calmly jogging after the car.

America fell 340,000 jobs short of the very modest expectations set by economists. That’s because Joe Biden is a one trick pony, “Get the vaccine.” But no one trusts this administration. I developed the vaccine when everyone said it wasn’t possible, now without “Trump,” that’s their only solution. This administration is destroying America before our very eyes because there is no leadership. Besides my vaccine, this is the administration of no jobs and massive layoffs, high gas and energy prices, high crime, empty shelves, open borders, and a horrendous surrender and evacuation from Afghanistan. A lot of effort and money went into RIGGING the 2020 Presidential Election, only to destroy the Country. Was it worth it?
📉America’s confidence in its US military continues its decline, the survey shows.
According to a survey by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, only 45% of those Americans polled have "a great deal" of trust in the military, an 11% drop since February and a 25% drop since 2018, the first year that the nonprofit organization performed its poll .
Meanwhile, 33% of Americans surveyed said they have "some confidence" in the military, a 6% uptick since February, and a 10% increase since 2018.
❗️However, the military is not alone, as law enforcement observed a 17% decline from respondents, and both the presidency and the SCOTUS plummeted 9%.

🍔🍟Parapapapaa he's lovin it: Donald Trump couldn't resist McDonald's while he was being treated for COVID-19 at the Walter Reed hospital in October 2020.
'They had to eat with face shields on at the doctor's orders, which didn't thrill any of them,' his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, writes in a new book.
Did you know that Trump's typical McDonald's order is two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fish sandwiches and a chocolate milkshake? Hold on to your napkin.
