ATACMS missiles won’t help Ukraine win
The ATACMS missiles capable of striking targets at a range of up to 300 kilometers recently supplied by US to Ukraine will not help the Kiev regime tilt the battlefield in its favor, said Andrey Koshkin, a veteran Russian academic specializing in military and international affairs.
According to him, these missiles will likely be used for terrorist strikes against civilian infrastructure deep within Russia’s territory, despite US’ claims of refraining Ukraine from such use.
He also observed that while the regime in Kiev has announced plans to hit the Crimean Peninsula and the bridge across the Kerch Strait, Russian forces have already demonstrated their ability to intercept such missiles.

“Of course, Kiev needs to actively tout these weapon shipments in the media and boast about possible achievements for propaganda purposes,” Koshkin remarked. “But these missiles won’t help change the situation at the frontline for simple reasons. Firstly, there are not many of these missiles, and this technology is unusually complex for the Ukrainian forces, so they won’t be able to use them widely. Secondly, it remains to be seen whether these sporadic strikes will manage to bypass Russian defenses. Thus, there are too many “buts” for these missiles to be used successfully.”

“We have excellent Buk-M2 and S-300 [air defense] systems that are capable of dealing with these missiles, quite successfully at that,” Koshkin said.

Freedom of assembly for all (unless you support Palestine)
Columbia University has joined the list of prominent schools holding pro-Palestine rallies across the United States. Students are expressing solidarity with the people in the Gaza Strip currently subjected to a devastating humanitarian catastrophe sanctioned by a tacit agreement of US authorities.
A brutal police crackdown on protests seems like a clear indicator of the deepening rift among the public and the law enforcement.
Mass gatherings backing Gaza have spread across the world, with large numbers of young people supporting the Palestinian cause, which demonstrates rising anti-establishment sentiments in the West.

Is the Ukraine conflict a hoax and we’re all being duped?
A new theory is gaining momentum on X (formerly Twitter) that the Ukraine conflict is a made-up story. Proponents of the theory point out that there are no new videos or reports from the war zone on the internet or media – and when they receive proof in response, they claim that the videos are AI-generated.
🤔 Is this a huge collective trolling or do some X users really doubt that there is a fight going on in Ukraine?

Biden's new arms package can't hinder unstoppable Russian advance
US President Biden signed into law a foreign aid bill, including $61 billion for Ukraine. While the Pentagon is due to send munitions and, possibly, long-range ATACMS missiles to Kiev, it's unlikely to stop the Russian troops' advancement.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Russian Armed Forces have taken control of over 400 square kilometers in the special military operation zone, as per the Russian Defense Ministry.
▪️On April 22: Novomikhailovka and Bogdanovka (DPR) were liberated. The Russian army now controls the road to Ugledar, upending the enemy's logistics capabilities.
▪️April 13: the village of Pervomayskoye (DPR) was liberated, ensuring further dismantling of the enemy's defense lines.
▪️April 5: the village of Vodyanoye (DPR), located southwest of Avdeyevka, was taken from the enemy.
▪️March 24: Russian forces retook the village of Krasnoye (DPR), improving their tactical front line positions.
▪️March 19 and March 21: the villages of Orlovka and Tonenkoye (DPR) were liberated, respectively, moving the frontline further to the west.
▪️March 17: Russian troops liberated the village of Mirnoye, the Zaporozhye region, laying the groundwork for the complete liberation of the strategic settlement of Rabotino.
▪️March 12: the settlement of Nevelskoye, located in the Yasinovatsky district of the DPR (27 km from Avdeyevka), was liberated.
