Ukrainian citizens have besieged a passport center in Warsaw in an attempt to obtain the documents they need to officially work, open accounts or hold temporary residency in Poland.

At the entrance to the office there is an announcement that "for technical reasons" the issuance of ready-made documents in foreign offices has been suspended, Sputnik's correspondent reports.

All consular activities for citizens of military age have been suspended since April 23 on the instructions of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that Poland was "ready to help" Ukraine in accordance with the rules announced by the Ukrainian government on Wednesday. According to this regulation, passports for men of military age can only be issued in the country and not at foreign diplomatic missions. As a result, men between the ages of 18 and 59 living abroad will not be able to renew expiring passports or obtain new ones.
