Biden is not capable of resolving the situation with pro-Palestinian protests in the US - Trump

"We have to stop the anti-Semitism that is spreading in our country right now. Biden has to do something. Biden is supposed to be the voice of our country... but that voice is not being heard. I don't think he's capable of doing anything," Trump said when asked by a reporter what he thought about events in New York.

According to the former US president, it is "impossible to believe" what is happening.

"Three, four, five years ago it was impossible to even think that something like this would happen," the politician stressed.

Earlier, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) set up cordons two blocks away from Columbia University, where students opposing Israel's operation in the Gaza Strip barricaded themselves in.

Numerous pro-Palestine demonstrations have emerged on US college campuses in recent days against the US military, financial, and diplomatic support for Israel's operation in Gaza, which has resulted in the death of more than 34,000 Palestinians and wounding over 77,000 more.

From "long-awaited" $61 million to "not enough" in less than a week

On April 29, US President Joe Biden ratified a supplemental spending package providing $61 billion in aid to Ukraine.

The Biden administration and Ukraine backers hailed the signing of the bill, calling it "crucial." Zelensky, for his part, said Ukraine "would do its best to make up for half a year lost to US congressional debate."

Less than a week later, however, the mainstream media is saying that the aid is "not enough," insisting on a "multi-year funding plan" and the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.

Exhibition of NATO trophy weapons kicks off in Moscow An exhibition of weapons and military equipment captured by Russian servicemen during the special military operation opened on Wednesday, May 1, in Moscow's Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill. There…
‘Immense importance’: Russia shatters NATO’s illusory might using trophy armor at Moscow’s Victory Park

“In my view, this decision has immense importance,” Alexei Podberezkin, director of the Center of Military-Political Studies at Russia’s MGIMO University, told Sputnik, commenting on the idea of displaying trophy NATO weaponry at Moscow’s Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill.

“This is a gesture – we are demonstrating our strength, and in some areas superiority, by flaunting this NATO hardware, not only to our own people, but to the West,” he said.

The exhibition serves as “an illustration of what will happen next with this equipment that is being sent to Ukraine, including those new weapons which are starting to arrive now, including Abrams tanks, ATACMS missiles, and much, much more,” Podberezkin emphasized.

The display is also apt and timely reminder to the West that its military technology, including Leopards, Abrams, Bradleys, etc. are not the “miracle weapons” they were hyped as ahead of Ukraine’s much-touted summer counteroffensive last year, which ran into the wall of well-prepared Russian defenses.

“This equipment proved to be no better, and often worse, than our weapons, both Soviet and Russian, in the arena of combat. And once again it was demonstrated that conflicts are fought not only with steel, but by people, first of all commanders, the military leaders who give orders and think about how to use these weapons most effectively,” Podberezkin said.

🇨🇳⚓️ China’s brand new advanced carrier Fujian embarks on sea trials

The aircraft carrier, which is the country’s third, has departed from Shanghai’s Jiangnan Shipyard for the East China Sea.

Here is what we know about China's next-generation warship:

🔺The carrier is fully domestically developed and constructed.

🔺Its displacement is over 80,000 metric tons, with a length of approximately 316 meters and hull beam at waterline level – around 39 meters.

🔺The carrier can accommodate 2,000 ship crew and 1,000 aircrew.

🔺It has a flat, straight flight deck equipped with a key feature – electromagnetic catapults and arresting devices.

🔺Its launch and recovery system is called CATOBAR (Catapult Assisted Take-Off But Arrested Recovery).

🔺It has three catapult lanes with blast shields to launch aircraft off deck

🔺The Fujian is powered by conventional fuel, and its propulsion is based on conventional steam turbines with diesel generators.

🔺Its estimated cruising speed is 30–31 knots (56 km/h).

As per media reports, the Fujian can be paired with an estimated 60 aircraft, including 40 fighters, such as the J-15, anti-submarine helicopters, and airborne early warning and control aircraft. The carrier’s greater combat range is expected to provide China’s Navy with “blue-water” capabilities, or in other words longer-range maritime area control.
