White House says Manchin's comments are at odds with his conversations with Biden
White House says Manchin reversed his position and "we will continue to press him"
IDF and US cyber units are holding "Cyberdome" joint drills at a US Cyber Command facility. The IDF said the exercises demonstrated “the strategic partnership between the two militaries, which allows both to achieve cyber network superiority."

The Israeli military did not elaborate on the details of the drills, and US Cyber Command has not mentioned them in its press materials or public-facing social media accounts.

🤔 Bye-bye Build Back Better? Dem holdout Joe Manchin says won't vote for bill
Sen. Joe Manchin caused quite a stir in the Democratic nest after indicating he would vote against President Biden's roughly $2 trillion social spending package known as the Build Back Better Act.

Let's take a look at the reactions of some of them:

▪️ Senator Bernie Sanders harshly criticized the senator, saying that Manchin's "no vote" meant that the West Virginian did not have the courage to stand up to special interest groups to lower the cost of prenoscription drugs, and that he was not able to expand the scope of home health care and medical care;

▪️ White House press secretary Jen Psaki also issued a scathing statement: "Senator Manchin's comments this morning on FOX are at odds with his discussions this week with the President, with White House staff, and with his own public utterances," Psaki said;

▪️ Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did not spare the West Virginia senator: "Either way, we cannot accept no for an answer. Dem leadership - incl but not limited to the President himself and House Dem leadership - wrote a massive check on their credibility the night of the BIF vote in order to secure the votes they needed, promising passage of BBB," she said on her Twitter.

Manchin's vote against the massive spending bill aimed at overhauling the social safety net, health care system, climate and tax policies seriously jeopardizes the Democrats' plan to push the legislation through after negotiations, as it requires 50 votes to pass

🇺🇸🇨🇳Former US President Donald Trump has objected to the Biden administration's decision to boycott the 2022 Winter Olympics in China, citing his memory of a similar move by Jimmy Carter against the Moscow Olympics in 1980.

"No, because I watched Jimmy Carter do it and it was terrible. It was terrible. It hurts the athletes. There are much more powerful things we can do than that," Trump said in an interview with Fox News, when asked if he would do it.

The 2022 boycott will be of a diplomatic nature, meaning that US athletes are still free to compete. In 1980, US athletes missed the games.

NASCAR driver Brandon Brown thinks that his association with the chant "Let's Go Brandon!" may negatively affect his career: "Our whole navigation is, you want to appeal to everybody, because, all in all, everybody is a consumer. But with this meme going viral, it was more of, I had to stay more silent, because everybody wanted it to go on to the political side. I'm about the racing side. I don't want it to just be the substitute for a cuss-word. I mean, if it's making it more polite, then, by God, I guess, go ahead".
