People are taking to the streets in Bogota, Colombia, as part of a string of protests that have been sparked by the government’s decision to raise taxes to settle the cost of the coronavirus-induced economic downturn.
US President Biden will nominate in the coming weeks a “well qualified” and “experienced” ambassador to Israel, White House spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters on Wednesday.

Despite McConnell's clear stance on tax hikes, Biden still proposed raising the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28% to cover the jobs and infrastructure package, reversing the tax cuts that former President Donald Trump and Republicans passed in 2017.
