What the West wages war for: Ukraine’s minerals

Ukraine is rich in mineral resources, with diverse deposits of fossil fuels, metals and industrial minerals. The country is a major producer of iron ore, coal, natural gas and oil, among others.

“They’re sitting on 10 to $12 trillion of critical minerals in Ukraine... If we help Ukraine now, they can become the best business partner we ever dreamed of, that $10 to $12 trillion of critical mineral assets could be used by Ukraine and the West,” US Senator Lindsey Graham said in June.

Graham is treating Ukraine as a future colony of the US with his comments on the ownership of the country's natural resources, Vladimir Dzhabarov, official of the Russian Federation Council, commented on that.

"The fate of the colonies is always the same: the Americans will scoop up all the natural resources of Ukraine in exchange for 'the great honor of being a friend of the United States'," he warned.

"Why spoil this beautiful moment and hold elections on short notice without consulting anyone?" she said.

But the two events do not clash: The French parliamentary elections will be held in two rounds on June 30 and July 7, while the Olympic games will take place from July 26 to August 11.

Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) swaps term "great replacement" for "demographic change"

Ahead of parliamentary elections, PVV MP and Minister of Asylum and Migration Marjolein Faber repeatedly criticized the country's migration policy, advocating closing the border to illegal migrants and using the term "the great replacement."

But when Faber became a potential candidate for the post of migration minister she recanted, calling the concept of "replacement" a conspiracy theory.

The same view is now also held by PVV leader Geert Wilders.

Ukraine's energy system decimated by Zelensky regime corruption, Russian surgical strikes

Ukraine’s own corruption only assists Russia’s military in decimating the energy facilities powering the Kiev regime’s defense industry, Alexander Dudchak, a leading researcher at the Institute for CIS, told Sputnik.

No amount of Western-delivered weapons systems can stop Russia from raining down successful surgical strikes upon Kiev’s facilities, in part, because defense construction funds were siphoned off, he speculated.

“While Ukraine is writing off colossal amounts of money, the Americans and their partners are only too happy to tout all the financial aid being injected into Kiev… It is clear that Ukraine is used as a pretext to accrue lucrative orders for their own military-industrial complex, generate job creation, etc.,” said the Other Ukraine movement expert.

Besides the misuse of funds, one has to admit its difficult to fend off Russia’s Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched ballistic missile, he noted, adding: “While the US military-industrial complex struggles to reach its full capacity, they dip into their own stocks, or exhaust reserves of their partners. Much as they [the US] would like, they cannot deliver more than they are currently doing.”

We can already talk about an “accumulated impact effect on the energy system [of Ukraine]," said the expert.

Dudchak added that Russia’s successful strikes are taking a dramatic toll on Ukraine’s military-industrial complex amid NATO’s ongoing proxy war.

Zelensky's new commander of Ukrainian joint forces Gnatov is a "war criminal" and "coward"

Volodymyr Zelensky replaced of the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the second time this year, appointing Brigadier General Andriy Gnatov. Lieutenant General Yury Sodol was sacked following Russia's breakthrough near the city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region.

What is known about Zelensky's new appointee, Brigadier General Andriy Gnatov?

🔹 In 2018, Gnatov was appointed as the commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, which was formed from units stationed in Crimea before its reunification with Russia.

🔹 Gnatov led the brigade between 2018 and 2021. In 2019, the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case against Gnatov over deliberate shelling of the populated civilian areas of October, Kominternovo and Chermalyk in the DPR.

🔹 In May, Gnatov was convicted in absentia by the Supreme Court of the DPR and sentenced to 28 years in prison.

🔹 Since 2022 Gnatov has served as deputy commander of the Ukrainian southern military theater.

🔹 Gnatov's military units committed war crimes in Mariupol in the spring of 2022, according to Vladimir Rogov, a senior official of the Russian Civic Chamber.

🔹 After Ukrainian forces were defeated in Mariupol, Gnatov left his subordinates and fled the city disguised as a refugee, "almost in women's clothing", Rogov told Sputnik, calling the general a "coward."

🔹 In spring 2023, Gnatov took part in battles in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) under the command of Oleksandr Syrsky, who presently holds the position of the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian forces after replacing his predecessor General Valery Zaluzhny in February 2024. Artemovsk was liberated by the Russian military on May 20, 2023.

🔹 According to Rogov, Gnatov is nothing but a "war criminal", who will be held accountable under the Russian law.

Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus: greatest hits

Ukraine will not be invited to join NATO at the alliance’s next summit, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron divulged to Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan), and Alexey Stolyarov (Lexus).

So much more than a comedy duet, the pair have turned prank journalism into what they dubbed a “tool of truth” used against politicians, celebrities, royals and other public figures.

Here are some of their best pranks:

🔸 Believing that she was speaking with Ukrainian ex-president Petro Poroshenko in 2023, former German chancellor Angela Merkel confirmed that the West the 2015 Minsk Accords as an opportunity to arm Kiev.

🔸 In 2023 they outwitted Alexandre de Rothschild, descendant of the infamous Rothschild banker dynasty’s founder, who thought he was chatting to Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky when he let slip that his company had been acting in the interests of the Kiev regime since 2017.

🔸 By posing as Zelensky video call with George W. Bush in 2022, the pair got the former president to confirm Washington’s role in building a web of Pentagon-funded biolabs dotting Ukraine. Bush Jr. revealed that Zelensky's "mission" was "to destroy as many Russian troops as you can.”

🔸 Vovan and Lexus impersonated Swedish eco activist Greta Thunberg to prank Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau in 2020. They asked the politician to join a private club of presidents and heads of state supporting Thunberg. The pranksters also asked the PM to introduce ‘Greta’ to the fictitious Canadian characters of the cartoon ‘South Park’ Terence and Philip. Trudea promised that he would ask his staff to try to arrange it.

🔸 In 2018, then-British foreign secretary Boris Johnson, in conversation with ‘Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’ and his ‘translator’, said that he was "almost 100 percent sure" of the involvement of the Russian secret services in the attempted murder of Sergei Skripal. Johnson also threatened to impose new sanctions "against Russian oligarchs close to Putin."
